Yeah, if they had a running game, they'd be absolutely amazing (don't need a passing game with that defense).

      • Not so fast with Cal there, Imran... they still have a UCLA team that can score the ball to hold off

              • Wait... what? I thought the game was over (as in not figuratively, but literally)... oh well, gotta edit the list.

                • I don't feel like Notre Dame is the 5th best team in the country. Also, I think the Texas vote is questionable.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

                  • Your feelings will be overcome when Notre Dame ends USC's winning streak next week.

                    Believe it.

However, look toward the end of the season. What do you think ND's record will be?

                      • Oh wait. We don't have Boston College this year. Never mind.

                          • I think ND can beat Tennessee like a rented mule, with that extra week to prepare. I was counting on ND's late season perennial upset by BC.

ND could be BCS bowl bound.

Agreed. Don't forget that the Volunteers should be 2-3 right now.

                              • I don't know about Tennessee. Some weeks UT looks amazing (2nd half of LSU). Notre Dame faces its first really good team next week in USC. Yes Pitt was ranked when they faced off, but now they are unranked and lost to RUTGERS. Michigan was highly ranked, but without Hart are a different team, and just fell to Minnesota to fall to 3-3, and are unranked. They beat Purdue, but Purdue just got rocked by Iowa as well, and are unranked.

Michigan State is the only currently ranked team they've faced. I don't know what the 'real' Notre Dame looks like. So, yeah, there is a chance UT can beat them.
