  • Ah, Imran. That, my friend, is the least of my worries. They lost their best playmaker yesterday while trying to run up the score, and if history is any guide, will have lost Croyle by mid-month. On that basis alone, I'm not too worried about them having a great season. And I freely admit we aren't very good this year. We'll have no chance to prove otherwise until LSU, either (with apologies to mrmitchell).

Regardless of how good or bad they are, though, I'm trying to save Dan's soul here! And Dan, I'm speaking of a true Evil Empire... not the ones our resident commies dream up.

    • True Evil Empire? He already is a part of it... Notre Dame. Anything less is just peanuts .

      • Pffft, compared to the monotoothed ones from Tuscaloosa, Notre Dame is only quasi-evil. After all, Alabama even has its own savior to worship. They're still waiting for the resurrection, by the way. The only sign will be a giant houndstooth hat in place of the stone that once blocked the tomb.

        • Sorry, Alabama is like shoplifter evil compared to Notre Dame's Satan like evil. Just accept your wrongness.

I cannot accept as wrongness what all who see clearly know to be truth. Notre Dame may be more pervasive, but for pure, concentrated, unadulterated evil, one need look no further than West Vance. I would offer as proof that it was the cousingrinders who foisted Mike Dubose on the college football world, but that's more patheticness than evil, so it wouldn't really help my case.

                • Sorry Solomwi, you're wrong. It's had been written, it has been done. Notre Dame is the biggest evil in the land, to say otherwise is to be ignorant of the laws of college football.

And besides, since Alabama is far less evil than Auburn, your theory fails there.

                    • Simple because you are part of the evil doesn't make it any less so .

Any team from Alabama or Mississippi are, by definition, evil. That is why God has forsaken them.

                      • You've obviously been brainwashed by too many years in the midst of the leghumpers, my friend. While your theory holds true for the cousingrinders, Auburn is only guilty of occasional and inadvertent evil, such as pumping up Terry Bowden's ego to its current gargantuan proportions. The Mississippi schools are too irrelevant to be considered evil, though Ole Miss is trying to make a run at it by hiring a woman-beating drunk as head coach. Still, their irrelevance is too much to overcome.

Besides, why would God forsake the states that gave us Roy Moore and Trent Lott... oh, wait. Never mind.

Sorry... Alabama and Mississippi are the states that God forgot. Therefore, all teams there are guilty of the greatest evil. Hell, Auburn is basically run by a booster... what's more evil than that?

I disagree, but even if you were right, it would only be because the football gods have started to enact their revenge for Oklahoma's years of cheating the system to get title shots they didn't deserve. (It won't truly be complete until Oklahoma gets blown out of Dallas by Texas next week.)
