I think you are the only person I've ever heard of that doesn't like this mod.
No, no probs on my end. I just thought seeing giant skeletons that carry HUGE boulders throwing little tiny rocks is poor. Most people like it because it's only hard monsters. What most people fail to relieze, is that when you get REALLY good at your class, play as another. My warrior has all 100s in it's Major and Minor skills. So I'm going around in Light Armor using magic spells to give myself some challenge still (I leave my wrathguard, Sunder and Keening at home).

If the authers fix the animation, and cut back on all those mega stash of alchemy items in most of those monsters, I'd use it.

As I said, Giants 1.3.1 is better... even though those nix-hound packs should be cut, I hate them more then Cliff Racers. Totaly annoying.

I am the only person who didn't like it. I figured that out when MorrowindFiles still hasn't uploaded my comment to that download.

As for the cleaner, I don't trust it. Something like that that was programed within 2 days should be outlawed IMHO.

    • No no... it's not a cleaner. Cleaning your save means unloading all plugins, loading your save in a small indoor area, going through all error messages, and then resaving. The level list merger simply creates another plugin that combines the levelled lists of all your loaded plugins. Otherwise creatures don't show up because the game only uses the leveled list from the last mod loaded. The program is really simple. It probably only took a few hours to do. I don't understand why you would say it should be outlawed but I guess your entitled to your opinion.

I will admit that I haven't seen a boulder throwing skeleton yet. I started a new guy because I power leveled my first one and the game stopped being fun. I gotta say though, that it was really awesome the first time I saw a glowing ghost or a nite sprite. I think they look great. The trolls are funny, the spriggans are cool, the vampires that come out at night is a feature I think should have come with the original game, but that's my opinion. To each his own I guess.

Well that program did a number on my saves... they never even loaded. My first char was destroyed since I had to do a total reinstall. No more unoffical plugins for me... unless I make it.

The program I was thinking of that was made in two days was the plugin cleaner. But still, I don't trust them.

EDIT: I should also say that most of the most popular plug-ins will be in Tribunal. Pack Guars, most of the monsters from Giants, making your own armor to name a few, will in tribunal. Hopefully, there will be a Rotate book feature in Tribunal as well (the current plugin has editing your save... not a good plugin).

It was my understanding that the Tribunal designers had specifically stated that they would not implement the sort of things being offered by popular plug-ins

          • Is it possible to access the 'hidden' stats of your character - such things as Resistance to Fire, standing with other Factions, do the Ordinator's hate me? etc?

            • Actually, it's pack rats (yes rats) that will be in Tribunal... and most of the creatures in Giants will not be in Tribunal. The only new creatures in tribunal are liches, goblins, and a few types of those mechanical thingies (can't remember the name). I've also heard nothing about making your own armor. There are several new types such as the Helseth armor, but no one has mentioned being able to craft your own.

The current book rotate plugin is harmless. All it is is a script. Every plugin edits your save file without exception.

It appears someone else agrees with you. This comment was posted at morrowind files recently about Giants 2.0.
Im sorry but this mod is obviously a virus. I installed it and my computer melted into a pile of glutinous juice. Please DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS MOD! BEWARE! BEWARE! THIS MOD IS A FORM OF THE INFAMOUS KLEZ VIRUS IT INFECTED ALL OF MY FILES IN MORROWIND! DIE FIEND! DIE!
Thrawn, I hope this isn't the comment you said you posted as this is incredibly childish (or sarcastic, I can't tell) and I can't believe they even put it up.

SG - I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but I do know that things like fire resistance and standing with factions aren't hidden and are easily accessable. You just have to know the console commands. The Elderscroll forums have quite a lot of information on using the console. You might want to check it out. Offhand I remember how to change stats and skill levels. At the console type player-> setstrength "#" and it will change your strength to that number. Works with setagility, setillusion, setmarksman, etc... Changing faction ranking and fire resistance is similar but I don't remember the exact command.

Not the plugins, but actualy code that was done by Bestesda that was inspired by the plugin authors.

Yes, there won't be Pack Guars, but the idea and concept is being used.

No, I would NOT resort to that. My comment was VERY similar to my compaints made in my first post about this mod. I gave it a 6.

I'm pretty sure you're stuck with mean Ordinators if you talked to them when you are doing the fourth trial... I learned that the hard way, and now have to avoid St. Delyn's canton because every friggin' ordinator there is trying to kill me... but not at the other cantons. I don't care about that... TAI could fix that to get around, but that would be cheating.

[last post, I swear Ming. ]

Dwemer Sphere's and Fabricant (spell?) are the other two. There will be a few more monsters added that they won't mention. If you read some of the threads in the ES's Tribunal forum, as well as the interviews, you'll see that there will be "making your armor" ability, though you will need to goto a specialist within the game.

There is a thread called "Dwem a little dwemer in me" (I think I got it right) on the discussion on what happened to the Dwemer, and if you'll find some with the mad god Sotha Sil. Very interesting to read and I highly recommend it. This thread really makes you want to go into the game and read every book you can get your grubby little hands on.

                      • Just to clarify - by 'access' I meant interogate the current values of rather than change - that would be cheating in my book - I have used the console little, but AFAIK it can only be used to set these values not to give them - but then I know nothing...

                          • SG, you mean you just want to get the values not modify them?

player-> getluck will tell you what your luck stat is, change the name for other stats/skills. The game menu tells your faction rank and I have no idea how to bring up the ordinator dispostion. I think you would have to know the name of the script that make the ordinators attack.

Next time look at the name of the guy who said it, if the name isn't Thrawn05 then IT'S NOT ME. You still accused me of somthing I didn't say, and I can easliy be angry (I have another word but I won't use it) when someone accuses me of saying somthing I never did.

Now.... lets get back on topic.

About the Ordinators (again). I know this wasn't part of SG's whole question, but I was recently reading a thread at the ES website about Ordinators, and unlike other law enforcement, they don't have some sort of global variable that makes them mad. If at ANY point you...

A: Wear the Indoril Cuirass and/or Helmet (without doing some sort of quest but I forget who gives this quest)
B: Talk to them when doing the fourth and fifth trial.
                              C: Resist arrest/escape.

... you are screwed. There is no "payfine" command for Ordinators and unless you feel like constantly using the toggle AI command, you'll need to start over again. Some people have asked Bethesda to fix this but it will stay as is. Bethesda wanted it this way. I believe this is so because house Indoril (which most of the ordinators come from) hates outlanders and would look for any excuss to kill one. I don't know about House Dres but I suspect they will act the same way in Tribunal.

                              • Thrawn, I'm sorry. After reading my post again, I probably should have said that differently. I really didn't mean to imply that it was you who posted that. I just typed it to fast without proofreading it.

About the ordinators - there are a couple plugins that will fix the permanent hostility of the ordinators at rpgplanet, or you could make your own. Open the TES and find the script that is attached to the ordinators and disable it. Poof, problem solved. This will probably only work for a new game, however. I don't think it will affect a save game.
