    Let's see. My 2 least-favourite parties are down heavily (~60% and 40% respectively) and my favourite party's up 60%.

      Let's see...the total support for PC+CA is less than the support for CA alone was at the last federal election...



      And I'd rather have the PCs heading up the right than the crazy-assed CA.

      The only negative is that the Libs have increased their stranglehold on power, and will therefor probably not have to form a minority government with the NDP next time...

          I still maintain Canada as a whole is incredibly stupid politically.

          And the CA is no different.

          The PCs are cool now, but they have a bad history and Joe Clark is a very iffy leader.

          The Liberals have walked into scandal after scandal and mismanage billions of dollars each year, and their support goes up.

          Conclusion: Canadian Federal politics suck as usual.

            Who cares so long as the Liberals are at 51%?

            Unless this slips 20% nothing will change.


            Alliance support always drops between elections, and is way more concentrated than the PC's.

                My conclusion: that it will be sometime in the 4th milennium before we see a rightist Canadian government again.

                Thank the ghost of Mulroney. What a genius! Pretend you're a right-winger, then run the country into the ground so the right is wiped off the map. He's the best Prime Minister the NDP ever had...
