    Major blockbuster gay-themed movies:

    In & Out

    The Birdcage

Too Wong Fu, Thanks for Everything (is title right?)

And the Band Played On (if I'm wrong that this was a major film, feel free to correct me on this one)

    Girls Don't Cry

and I think but I'm not sure -- Far From Heaven

none of those movies were blockbusters. And none were manly action flicks.

Diss, 'The Birdcage' made over $100 million (blockbuster territory). $123 M to be exact.

And Diss, ok not all of them were blockbusters, but all the ones I mentioned were mainstream Hollywood films.

Gay-themed movies do okay because they're gay themed, and people know to expect to see some queer with a feather boa in them. However, a war movie, clearly aimed at a "normal" demographic may suffer a backlash for trying to pretend that a gay can be a strong male figures, when all god-fearing men know different. It's hard for a man to put a gay into a safe context when there are no Barbara Streisland references in a film to reaffirm our inherent knowledge that they're all a bunch of sissies.

                  yeah okay.

I may be wrong. It happens every once in a blue moon. we'll see.

Just watch, there will be people upset about the gay kissing.

It was funny when I watched the movie 28 days later- a british movie. A few people in the audience gasped at the full frontal male nudity.

That's because they're good Christians and have to pretend they've never seen a penis before.

Right at the beginning, when he's in the hospital.

As a sidenote, the US version of Team America removed the sex scene. It's there in all its full glory in Canada, and damn was it funny.

Why would Christians be offended by that... in the Bible Adam and Ave were nude until they ate the apple and learned... was it shame? I dunno. If anything I think they would think god would like them more if they went nude...
