C'mon Sky. You can do much better than this.

I never said that the vulgar use of the word "universe" was, in fact, the set of everything that exists! Was that not obvious from the fact that specifically identified what I meant by the term?!

    • I'm asking you why you are using this definition. That's all.

      • Because it is an accepted definition, though not the most common definition, and it makes things easier to type.

EDIT: and, personally, I think it reads better than saying "set of all things that exists" fifty times.

        • Hey Kuci, does the set of all things that exist include itself or not? I'd say so.

But does the set of all sets that are not members of themselves include itself or not?

          • (anyway, the set doesn't exist - the concept of it exists, in our minds, but the set itself has no existance)

How can we think of it, since it appears to contain a logical contradiction?

And you have committed cardinal sin #2 - spelling "existence" as "existance". Is this the special posture of being? (you aren't far wrong, the Greek root of it is "stand")

How are these principles being violated by the US state today?

                You have all this.
We mostly have this, but there are people, like you, that want to take it away. You have advocated the idea that religious values should be made into law. You frequently voice support for groups that want to make religious values made into law. I responded to you when you were decrying someone for voicing support for keeping any religion from being endorsed by the government or government agencies.

Doesn't this just mean that the concept is the set? That would be strange. The set of all dogs is all the dogs in the universe, not an idea in my mind.

Besides, if it doesn't exist, then how does your concept have any meaning?

There aren't any logical contradictions in communism. You can argue that it makes false claims, but that's not being illogical.

History shows this to be a poor course to undertake if one wishes to defeat Christians in the long run.
Holy crap I just saw this.

I almost snarfed. More presecution of religion! Ha! Yeah, it's SO persecuted!

Cry me a ****ing river, Ben. I'm not persecuting you, I'm fighting your persecution of others. Just 'cause you don't like it when others refuse to do as you say, doesn't mean we're persecuting you.
