    @ Aggie.

Like shooting fish in a barrel.

I note that interesting comment about public transit. For me, the biggest difficulty is that the transit does not run early enough in the day. For me to get to a job first thing in the morning, I need to buy a car, which is a cost I'd rather do without.

BK: Can you walk or bike? It's funny, since I've been working out more I've really been feeling far better physically and mentally

Obviously I'm not suggesting a 40 mile hike every morning, so within reason etc.

        Depends on the distance.

I do not know how far my commute will be as I have not been assigned a depot.

It could be reasonable, it could be unreasonable.

Cities over here tend to be more spread out than in England, so the chances are less that I would be close enough to walk.

I routinely walk around 30 blocks a day, so anything within that radius would be doable on foot.

As for a bike, it would prolly be easier for me to buy a used car, than shop for a bike.

Ah understood, though a motorbike may be a good compromise too? Depending on safety and luggage etc. Northampton is a fairly large town, actually it's supposedly the largest town (non-city) in Europe, though it's still god awful. Last night I walked back from... well... an interesting evening , about six miles so only 90 minutes or so, but right past where I got beaten up a couple weeks ago which was rather nerve-racking .

Don't think about that, since they want the oddest things. Just put whatever you don't want/need for auction. You will never know who may come along.

Oh, he has some. Just not nearly as much as he thinks he does.

Charities no longer operate that way BECAUSE goverment provides said assistance. But, have you tried your church? I couldn't imagine your church turning you down.

                              So you aren't a communist?

Otherwise your comment makes no sense, as I don't need that much experience to tell that you're a commie.
