  • The people who voted for Bush, by and large. There was poll data that proved it, ML. A majority of Bush voters didn't know his positions on the issues.

That works just fine for Bush, of course.

    -Arrian

p.s. You being an atheist and voting for Bush doesn't change the fact that much of his support came from the more religious portion of our society.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

    • Yeah, they could seceed but the Republicans would just pick up their guns and annex them into submission like the last time they seceeded.

Aren't the people putting down the rebellion the ones who actually seceeded the last time .

          • Seriously, Bush isn't a know it all, no one is. That's why the President has a Cabinet and Secretary of State, to keep him advised on issues. To me, the potential Cabinet is just as important as the President. I have continually said I don't agree with everything Bush has done, but the only thing Kerry said that I supported was his proposal about increasing the number of active duty combat Brigades and the number of Active Duty Special Forces.

And that was a very Anti-Kerry policy he spouted so I didn't have much faith that he would actually do it.

            • Apparently you people aren't catching my point. You aren't going to win by calling people stupid. But then again, I should be encouraging this kind of rhetoric since it helps our cause.

Ramo, that he even considered challenging a 150,000 vote lead in Ohio is a bit much.

We're not trying to win. The election's over.

                  • Someone on a message board calling a politician stupid helps your cause? I doubt a majority of the American people are reading Poly .

They can go to Canada, that's even better.

                        • Please, are you trying to say that liberals haven't touted Bush as some kind of idiot? It's was the biggest part of their campaign. Obviously it failed.

But that message was probably repeated a trillion times on forums across America... It was the Demo mantra... Bush is stupid

It might have helped if the Dems had put up somebody who was smarter
                            Keep on Civin'

Well soldiers without money doesn't work too well (look at post-USSR Russia).

The secession idea isn't serious obviously, i was jsut wondering what would happen. I doubt the red states would attack the blue states, but i guess that would at least get them out of our hair for a few years
