  • What happens, theoretically, if Kerry wins the 270 votes in Electoral College, even though he has conceded? If he would still be declared the winner, then what's the point of conceding?

Actually... is that conceding just a simple action, or official and expected by the law?

Yeah, the only problem is one is obviously a moron and the other isn't. Smart people generally don't horribly botch wars and ruin the economy and reputation of the worlds most powerful nation.

        Funny how that works.

I'd rather vote for a moron with integrity than a two faced hypocrite out to liberalize America and force us all onto government welfare programs while his cabinet slowly purges Christianity from our history.

And finally they don't need a draft, all they have to do to get more soldiers is increase the sign up bonus. They'll get all the troops they want that way.

Kerry? Or, the Democratic Party? The Dems have serious cultural issues to contend with. As I've said before, Howard Dean was the only Democratic candidate who knew this, as evidenced when he made the comment about southern white males flying Dixie should realize the Democratic Party represents them best. But, in response, the NAACP and other pasty white candidates (Kerry et al) slammed him.

I like Dean. He's genuine and direct.

But can it? I would think that it would... you never know, Kerry's speech at 1pm could be conditional.

                  Look at these stats:

                  • Finally, you now control the presidency, have a nice majority in both the house and the senate, and control the majority of governorships. If you do not make the country better, you have only yourself to blame. Proof yourself, and if it works, if real blows are struct against terrorism and it becomes a less effective tool, if the dreaded assault on civil liberties does not come, and if the new tax plan lessens the plights of poverty, than I will become converted, and join the Republican party.
I think republicans realize this and see the opportunity to deliver a knock out punch to Democrats. If we have 4 years of unequaled prosperity I think the Republican hold on the government is only going to grow. I can't wait to see what the next 4 years have in store. I think 2008 is pretty much in the Republican's pockets if Giulliani runs against Hillary. The future is looking very bright.

NO, he was a plurality win both times. (so was Carter his one time, the democ-rat pres to get a majority was Johnson in 1964)

That would make serious in roads into a few of the major bases of democratic voters. Democrates need to get a centrist southerner hopefully with a running mate from the southern midwest or Florida.

Also the Dems need to avoid hot button issues like gay marriage which turn off the poor white trash & hispanic voters and instead concentrate on going after the Republican base of business owners, investors, religious people, and the like.
One of the reasons that the vote for Bush increased so much in Florida was due to the hispanic voters (who now have a hispanic senator).

The people of 11 states (including Washington state) voted overwhelmingly last night to define marriage as only that between a man and woman. So long as a certain group of people continue to see these types of issues as only important to 'poor white trash' the dems will not win.

Agreed. I think Dean might have won.

Yep, it's funny how you keep on using the same lines over and over. It's really funny how you just completely ignored the fact that Bush scored higher than Kerry and simply said that "it's obvious he's a moron". Again, you wonder why you people lose so badly all the time?
