    IIRC it wasn't the abortion issue that triggered the Reformation. Wantonly administering confession had something to do with it though.

        Sure, others politic but they normally stop short of saying "god hates people who vote for XXXX". It's there right to do that but that means they'll lose their nonprofit status since nonprofits cannot engage in political activities directly. Hell, its easy enough to get around the rules and still do what you want so why be so blantant?

          Since when?

          And the RC Church wasn't saying that - they're saying that voting for a politician for his pro-abortion stance is a sin, which, by their doctrine, is absolutely true.
