We don't know where the article was shot. If it was in Palestine, I can understand. But there are some things that clue me into thinking it has been shot outside of Palestine, probably in Saudi Arabia (the country of the TV network).Originally posted by Drogue

Everyone knows they hate each other, they blow themselves up to try to get the land, and the Israeli's blow up houses to try to keep the land. I'd be surprised if many people at all on either side would be willing to shake hands with the other. I'd be like asking someone during a war to shake hands with the other side, most people would baulk at the idea. Moreso here, because religion is involved too, so that's an extra set of reasons not to.
It does mean these people extend the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to a wholly racial one, between all Muslims and all Jews

I'd say we can be pretty sure it's from somewhere in Saudi Arabia. It's an Saudi-channel and it doesn't say anywhere that the clip isn't from there.
I have to 'serious' reflections on this:
1) My gut instinct is that they wouldn't get the same responses in Palestine. Why? Because the chances are that a random palestinian at some time have had peaceful contacts with a jew. It's ironic as saudis that do not have any real reason to hate jews can demonize them even more as they do not have to face reality.
2) Would any in Saudi arabia really say "Sure, jews are just like you and me!" to a TV-camera even if that's their real opinion? Not that i have a clue about their real opinions, but that strikes me as a possibility.
As I said, this is just some personal reflections, I don't really know if they have any basis in reality. But when has posts in the OT had anything to do with reality anyhow?
