Bull**** - the ARVN was riddled with incompetence, cowardice, corruption, and enemy infiltrators from the outset, before the US even got involved. And the "liberal Democrat Congress" poured tens of billions down the RVN/ARVN sewers for over a decade. Most rational people realize at some point that enough is enough.

I note your glee, MtG, at the fall of South Vietnam. Now you say we need to succeed in Iraq because of the OIL. This doesn't make sense, as we could withdraw tomorrow, let Zarqawi succeed, and his new al Qaeda regime would pump as much oil as it could so that Zarqawi could finance legions of true believers who would do their best to destroy the United States. The real reason we need to succeed is that Iraq is central to the war on terror.
