You are making the claim that there was massive fraud. You need the evidence. Especially in light of the fact that there was a significant international observational presence which declared the vote fair.

Significant international observational presence = Jimmy Carter believeing there is no fraud.

I'm sorry. You must have missed the fact that Jimmy wasn't down there by himself, and that he merely presented the results of a large team working under him.

Strike 2, or should this be included in strike 1?

This is like the WMD debate.

"I don't think there are any weapons. Blix and his team of experts say there are none"

"**** Hans Blix. And **** you. And **** the facts. I believe Bush"

            6 months later

            "Where were all those weapons?"

"Shut the **** up. What's done is done. Let's move on"

              Strike 2? Shove it.

Jimmy Carter said it himself he believed it was legitimate. But there isn't a time when an election in Latin America is legitimate. The multi-party systems in Latin America are naturally corrupt.

It prevents interference with the actual election process.
How do exit polls interfere with the election process?

Exit polls are another layer of preventation from election fraud, because the end results are supposed to reasonably correlate with these polls.

Discreprencies are always a concern, regardless of whether there exists actual fraud or not, and should be investigated.

That includes *******s sitting outside and asking how I voted.
Right, but does that justify the far-ranging gag laws against advertising during the entire election campaign by third parties? If you ask me, Canada mimicks many characteristics of a tolitarian state.

That's bull****. WMDs were a good reason and for all I know they are still in Iraq. Afterall, WMDs have already been found.

? You're beginning to delve into the delusional. Is there a point in mentioning the multi-party system? Does this somehow increase corruption? If so, please explain. If not, hit yourself on the head and reboot. Syntax error!

It has to do with political culture. May I recommend a book?

                        Venezuelans love Chavez.
That must be why he has to have armed guards by the polling booths, eh? And why he needs to have international observation of his elections.

Many people do not want Chavez, and he faces, at the least, significant opposition within his own country, of the sort willing to uprise in order to depose Chavez. This to me strikes against the principle that Venezuelans love Chavez.

If they did, Chavez would not have to try to weasal out an election.

And BTW, do you think their referendum question is clearer than the one in Quebec? Someone who is loved by his people doesn't need to try to con them.

Venezuelans love Chavez? That explains why Chavez must show his love in the form of gunning down civilians.

Because there is no reason I should be accosted by the media at the place of voting.

Unless people lie about who they voted for. Thank you, I'll take invigilators any day of the week over some pseudoscientific poll which relies on the truthfulness of the general public.

Given that there were no exit polls conducted, I find it hard to take opposition reports of discrepancies seriously

                            a)

                            b) what does that have to do with the question at hand? I have made no statements regarding political speech law except those with a direct impact on voters travelling to and from polls.
