Many people do not want Chavez, and he faces, at the least, significant opposition within his own country, of the sort willing to uprise in order to depose Chavez. This to me strikes against the principle that Venezuelans love Chavez.

Unless people lie about who they voted for. Thank you, I'll take invigilators any day of the week over some pseudoscientific poll which relies on the truthfulness of the general public.
