I doubt that, actually. Eventually Ken'll just get tired and and he'll slip up. Then the show will go back to normal.

Ken's not going to get tired of making $30K a day. This is his day job now. Where else can you make $30K for a half an hour's work?

Besides Millionaire and Super Millionaire, there was a show called Greed a couple years ago which had a top prize of $2M. I don't know if anyone ever won it though; it was nearly impossible, and anyone with sense who was in a position to try would instead walk away with what they'd already won.

Hmm. Haven't watched Jeopardy in years. If they want to get rid of the 5-time winner rule, that sounds fine... but I think they should start cheating after 10 or so wins. Like you said, bring in previous tournament of Champions winners who can't advance to the next day to take him out, or use horribly obscure topics.

Though I didn't see much of it, the game show I liked most- when I had access to it- was "Win Ben Stein's Money." Actually difficult questions, and an amusing premise.

I Googled Drake's bizarre claim about a court case that made Jeopardy! double their prize winnings, and came up with this.

I swear I read it on CNN or some similar news outlet. Probably a mistake on their part that was quickly corrected, which has left me looking like an idiot. Bastards...

He's not even the all-time Jeopardy money maker yet... that record stands at $1.15 million (Tourn. of Champions + 5 day winnings).

Keep in mind that they actually tape a week's worth (ie: five shows) a day. So if Ken averages $30k a show, he's really making $150k a day, albeit for a much shorter time span.

Anyway, his run does end at some point in the not too distant future. The shows were taped in February and he's been back home in Utah for quite a long time now. Obviously, still enough time for a few more weeks of wins, but we know he looses eventually.

good point. I'm surprised they are able to keep such a tight lid on this.

Again, the point of 5 shows taped at once.

Rather than the 2.5 hrs straight, I would think that would help him focus. He could get warmed up on the first one, and then roll through the rest.

I don't think 2.5 hrs would be long enough to get tired, not when you get the rest of the week to study.

He could get stronger the longer he runs!

The show is on hiatus, according to this article.

So his streak is at 38 wins, and he gets to resume when the new season starts. I don't know when the taping for that would be, but I think it explains why he has been at home.

Tired not as in lose interest but tired as in he can no longer keep it up.
