Hello, Mr. Illiteracy, I said 50,000 to 500,000 cause I honestly didn't remember where the digit was. And I was too lazy to look it up. But then you were too lazy to read my post so I guess we're even.

Still they "banned" far more legitimately cast votes than the Republicans are being accused of doing.

EDIT: after googling a bit there were 15,000 from one county alone that the State FORCED the county to count later. From what I remember of the CNN reports and other networks at the time the Democratic Party had agreed to let them be "counted" but they would not be added into the totals used to determine the actual outcomes of the elections.

So they would be counted but would not be allowed to affect the tallies? It was pretty weird, it was a major network news story for a few weeks after the election.

Didn't Florida state law require a statewide recount anyway? Didn't the SC support that "in principle", i.e. if it could be done in the 2 hours left for recounting?

"Stupidity" was only the problem in one county (full of elderly Jews), since overvotes were never part of the issue. Had they been, you could have *****ed about the whole state.

From CNN's coverage of the situation:

Earlier Tuesday, Florida's Supreme Court affirmed two lower court rulings that rejected attempts by Democratic voters to get 25,000 absentee ballots thrown out because of irregularities in the handling of some requests for those ballots.

In the absentee-ballot cases -- from Seminole and Martin counties -- Florida's highest court affirmed the lower court finding that there was no evidence of fraud, gross negligence or wrongdoing. Craig Waters, a spokesman for the state Supreme Court, read the opinion in the Seminole County case, which stated the court "does not in any sense condone the irregularities noted by the trial court."

GF, you should read more carefully.

Republican operatives admitted altering ballot request forms.

The plaintiffs argued unsuccessfully that because the ballots that resulted from the altered application forms could not be specifically identified, all the ballots -- about 15,000 in Seminole County and about 10,000 in Martin County -- should be tossed out.

While your third number was correct, I was correct that the ballots were used by Republicans to committ vote fraud.
