Everyone in a democracy should have a right to vote. Even if they once stole a car. I don't see why that disqualifies anyone from having an opinion on how their country should be run.

If you can't get that right, then its a bit rich to force democracy onto other countries who didn't ask for it. regardless of how much oil they have

The Florida Democratic Party stripped something like 50,000 to 500,000 soldiers of the right to vote for the Bush/Gore election because they felt soldiers were more inclined to vote Republican.
