Azazel, LOTM seems to be unavailable, so maybe the best thing would be to send it to someone else? Firelad perhaps?

OK. Oncle Boris is on voluntary ban for the remainder of the semester, so he asked me to keep an eye on this thread.
So this is the situation: Azazel and LOTM have lost the text. This means that Vovan hopefully has the most recent translation? I think it could be that Birdseed still has got Vovan's too.
So I think we have 2 options:
1. Vovan or Buck B. resends the Russian translation to Azazel who translates it into Hebrew and sends it to LOTM one more time.
2. We give up. If so, I hope you Buck could post your English translation of it so we can see how it ended up after the 4(?) first translationsCSPA

No only I lost it, AFAIK. Azazael may have it and only needs to resend it.
I'll try to follow this thread till Ive done my part, but then i want to drop out."A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber

This thread started out with such a great idea, especially given the variety of linguistic skills found among the posters around here. Sadly, the execution was less than sterling.
Why not start a new thread, this time ask only for people who are serious about promptly doing their translation and passing it on (as opposed to wasting everyone's time and sinking the thread into oblivion). With so many links in the chain, if each person takes five or six - or thirty - days, it will take months to see the results.
Another suggestion: the initial writing should be in relatively informal/conversational language - not overly complex or technical - or the point of the game is lost.

I agree to that
I don't want some Einstein text... but what about just taking some quotes from a movie or so
And whenever someone has done the translation, the text should be sent to two persons: The next translator and the GMThis space is empty... or is it?

Or maybe you could just post a writing selection on the thread and have whoever wants to translate it into whatever language they want (as long as there's someone else on poly that knows that language), that way its easier to keep tabs on.
Maybe to keep people who want to participate from having their fun ruined by knowing what the original entry said the original could be posted in grey (so that it could only be seen by highlighting it) and everyone after that would likewise post their translation in grey so that only people who want to see the individual stages would see the translations.Stop Quoting Ben
