We need a thread manager keeping a running record in case something happens - and to keep things moving when someone dallies. Also makes publishing the final product easier (aside from problems displaying non-english characters).

I would like to join a second attempt
I can translate to and from Dutch, English and German (although my spelling might suck at the latter).
I can give a shot at translating FROM French."post reported"Winston, on the barricades for freedom of speech
"I don't like laws all over the world. Doesn't mean I am going to do anything but post about it."Jon Miller

And PLEASE determine for sure where youre going to put the thread.
In my own defense, I mentioned participating in a thread posted to Other Games. I have been spending less time in OTF lately, and quite frankly essentially missed this thread. When the thread ceased to be active in OG, i basically forgot about it. Az PMed me just before I spent a period away from Poly altogether - also I DONT always check my Poly PM's. Az tracked me down in another OG thread, and reminded me I had an email. I posted a response IN THAT THREAD, to which he never responded, and I heard nothing more about this in PM's or elsewhere till I saw this thread pop up again.
Frankly this is one reason I avoid forum games in OG. Im not on Poly consistently enough to make a commitment here.
So I will simply ask to not be included in future Lost in Transl games."A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber

Ok, i sent it on.
It was way too long, way to complex, and no nekudot - not that the latter would have helped much. I thought this was going to be short relatively simple sentences. My ivrit really isnt good enough for this.
Spoiler:
when i found a hebrew word i didnt now (at least 80% of them) i either used a similar sounding Hebrew word i did know, used a similar sounding english word, made something up, or left it out completely. Its now total gibberish. Was that the intent here?"A person cannot approach the divine by reaching beyond the human. To become human, is what this individual person, has been created for.” Martin Buber

Sent the Spanish text to Boshko. When Boshko is done, this game is over.
Here is how I would like to proceed. I will start a new thread called Lost in Translation 1 results.
Everyone who played in the game should post in the result thread what is the text they got and the text they translated to.
As entries are added, I will gradually fill in the blanks between the original sentence and the final one (in the opening post). In Soviet Russia, Fake borises YOU.

OK, my Spanish is rusty but I think that the bit of writing I recieved was at least as surreal as what I translated it into:
The icon left and lead the abolition. Mister Ryan led a blessing when it came.
She was useful to my dying breath. Dreaming with these shots in front of them. Cheese, these hobbits in front of them. A machine is very good to drive the daylight with a flood of live cats of realization and clothing in a moment.
The boys here read for the light. The happyness, it sees its light and is born. Dominating these voters, a death improves, it helps them. Literally, this place is the philosophy of nihilism. Much more, the excellence of cats' eyes allow them to see the restaurant.Stop Quoting Ben

The only word I recognize from the English original I received is "nihilism".
Everything else has pretty much been lost in translation.
