No. He gave out Fox's number telling everyone it was his home number. Fox got deluged with calls. Fox got pissed and gave out his real home number.

one upsmanship isnt always called for. but since he shouldn't have given out the # to fox's place. assuming that the other side will simply respond in kind to an unprovoked attack isnt going to get you far.

        2 wrongs don't make a right.

Even if Carlson was childish, it does not justify a news network publishing an unlisted home phone number.

I was trying to figure out why you were not supporting Carlson. I still can't.

I just have a hard time feeling much sympathy for a person who should have known better than to get himself into trouble.

why are we assuming the home # is so much worse than inviting the inundation of the business? assuming fox really did get swamped w/ ppl wanting the guy. then they obviously lost productivity and business and money! important calls weren't going through, all sorts of things. I assume on the flipside he merely unplugged his phone and used his cell. and that most of the calls couldn't even get through, then u signup for a new #.

Agreed, but sometimes the best action is to refuse to retaliate. Would that not have made a better statement? This man is being childish, expose his antics and then say we will not stoop to his level.

Discredits his argument in favour of the telemarketers completely.

But now? He gets some sympathy after the retaliation, and it makes Fox News look bad as a journalistic organisation. Would CNN respond in like manner in a similar situation?

to be fair, he incited ppl to flood the phone # w/ calls under false pretenses.

While I think it was unprofessional to retaliate like that, I have no other problem with it. If you can't take it, you shouldn't dish it out. Childish but amusing and entertaining at the same time.

                        Exactly.

Therefore, we should (in the interests of being fair and balanced) find Bill's # and list it.

Why, who's number did he post?

                          Besides I already know it.

I'm surprised that the booth people or the network didn't censor the number to begin with in order to protect Carlson. The show is filmed with roughly a seven second delay (that's my recollection from the last time I've been there live). The delay is there in order to protect people like Carlson from acting like such numbnuts.

See, this is why Bush shouldn't be president. This fratboy mentality is starting to rub off on the country.

And shame on both Carlson and FOX.
