I am thinking of the episode where Homer joins the space program with Barney... At the beginning he runs to the phone at Moe's and dials really fast and gets the president or some big-wig and begins yelling at them... They were all; "how did you get this number?"

While I think that FOX probably should have done the deed to cnn's bureau, to call FOX all sorts of names only highlights your own bias here.

You could weakly argue that they shouldn't haven't done it to Carlson's home number, but you ARE ignoring the fact that he did start the whole thing.

And also, your whole attitude and comments here show that you were just waiting for a reason to blast FOX.

And if you are a democrat, fine, but at least be honest that you don't like a network that doesn't skew to the democrat point of view instead waiting for a moment to pounce through some flawed criticism.

You missed the point. Putting out any number with malicious intent is wrong. Whether it's listed or not is completely irrelevant. Unlisting a number just makes it harder to carry out malicious intent.

So - Carlson's defense cannot be that Fox's number was listed and his was not. This is not complicated.

Carlson, individualy and spontaneously, acting like an unprofessional jackass isn't in the same league as the Fox organization taking it's time as to how to proceed and deciding to escalate. One would assume it's not just a lowly unauthorized web content staff puke, especially since they kept it on the website.

"But he started it" is a horse**** argument for first graders. Both should act like professionals. And if individuals fail to do so, that's why they have editors and other sorts of managerial types to step in and retain some organizational professionalism.
