A Greek cannon has been forced to momentarily divert his attention away from Canberra and toward an Australian SOL who had delivered fire upon our troops. The ship now sits half submerged in the shallow waters of Canberra Harbour, where it is to be hoped that it will not be a navigational hazard for future generations of vessels.

The remaining cannoneers are finding that firing upward toward the lofty peaks upon which Canberra is perched is disturbing the wild falcons of the region, who wheel about above them, annoyed at the thundering racket.

The bombardment of Perth has begun in earnest, soon she will be the latest Australian city to fly the Spanish flag!

On a more dubious note, it seems strange that my French Brother who constantly preaches the virtues of peace is now parading a battleship within striking distance of Spanish cities...

If the French build battleships during times of peace, then may the good Lord himself protect us during times of war...

Spain must feel no nervousness at the deployment of a solitary undergoing her sea trials. She will return to Port next Turn and, hopefully, will find no cause to put to sea again. Also, I beg of you, do not construe any dark motive for French reticense to share of her cartographical learning but we live in most dangerous times and, with the imminent demise of Australia, such information could fall into the wrong hands.

On matters naval, The Serene State is deeply concerned about the continued movement South of an Inca Battleship along her Western coast. Despite my righteous indignation at such an overt act of hostility I have stayed my hand and restrained my Generals. I plead with you, My Child, order a rapid volte face of this vessel and the French Navy will likewise return to Port. It serves neither of our nations well to waste men and resourses upon weopons when there are Cities that still lack Cathedrals to honour my name.
