I have had problems too with downloading from Apolyton...the transfer doesn't complete! It gets to about 94% and then stops...thankfully civfanatics does also host everything that Apolyton has in the main -we may miss out some of the junk!

brilliant map, i strted a game as england yesterday but, being very impatient compared to a lot of peopleround here, I gave up on that one around 800AD with >1 minute turn waiting
So i go to start a new game with 6 civs and get the starting location problem, I come here and it has already been fixed, brilliant
thanks guys

Great map! There is no other word for it. I had just a game as Egypt and enjoyed it very much!
Sorry, if that has already been reported, I lack the time to read the whole thread. But in the area south of the Sahara desert something was wrong with the rivers. Some tiles next to rivers did not allow irrigation, and some cities adjacent to a river needed to build an Aqueduct. How can this happen, or is it intended?"Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music." - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo Inc, 1989

Hey, that was my bug.
OK, it's your bug, so I immediately issued a patch consisting of your newer version CTP, therefore I squished the bug..."Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music." - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo Inc, 1989

WHEN I DOWNLOAD THIS MAP ,I ONLY GET AN ATTACHMENTHOW DO I OPEN IT TO USE IN THE GAME?
I've heard it comes from apolyton, several files have this issue. When you will click on it after renaming it, you will just have to double click on the file inside the zip, it will ask where you civilization folder is located and everything will be easy.

GRRRRR !
I'm mad !
Ok, I would then advise you to download it from civfanatics... but since civfanatics' forum is experiencing some troubles... you can't connect to it !
Hmm... well anyway, check "downloads" then "maps" in that site, who knows, maybe one day it will work again.

HOWEVER! as soon as CivFanatic's is back online I WILL REMOVE IT, while I can cope with the bandwidth having everybody download from my webspace will make it look like nobody is downloading from these forums... and to a certain extent the popularity of a map/scenario is measured by the number of downloads.
CivFanatic's is back online
