Day by day the Oldonian forces became bolder and bolder. Even while suffering massive losses they kept coming after the Sozin’s forces who just kept retreating as planed by General Sozin. He know that if the Oldonians felt like thy were winning they would keep fighting regardless of the cost. With the main army soon on its way the time of the Oldonians resistance will soon come to an end.
To the north the raiding parties were going completely unchallenged. The main reason was because of the barbarians who where keeping the Oldonians too busy to stop the Japanese raiders from continuing to destroy roads and farms all over. On the waters the Oldonian navy was being devastated by the stronger Japanese fleet. Between the Zanza’s Wrath and the White Lotus the Oldonian’s stood no chance on the waters.

"Shut up, both of you!!!" Bae yelled, he was seething with rage. If the Korean army was larger this could have been prevented. He threw his pot on the ground breaking it into shards "This is hopeless!"
Despite international success the past few years of Wang Geon's reign were plagued with disaster, most of which were the result of the Aztec onslaught. A possible ally in the town of Wonsan was lost to marauding Aztec armies, all work on the monastery had to be put on hold in order to hold off an attack on Seoul, and despite a successful defense in the city of Pyongyang many improvements and small villiages were destroyed by the Aztec armies. Plans for the consturction of roads, plans for exploration, for construction, and science had all been stymied by the Aztecs. Even a visit to Seoul by the family of Pacal II of Maya had to be postponed because of this. Not to mention one of his promising ambassadors; Hong Yu, had died in Greece, under suspicious circumstances (or at least Wang Geon thought so). With all of these terrible strokes of poor luck the next one occured and sent the King into a fit of rage; his wife, the Princess Sinjeong gave birth to a female, and not a male...
