Everything was going according to plan. The Oldonians were falling for the bate General Sozin set. As the retreating Japanese forces approached, Sozin noticed the trees all around them moving. Out of nowhere thousands of barbarians jumped out of the tress. They wildly attacked without any regard for anyone even themselves. After a few minuets the Japanese forces were able to kill all the barbarians. It wasn’t until General Zuko took account of who was killed that he found out General Sozin had been killed. It was a great loss for Japan as one of its greatest generals was killed by barbarians. Since Zuko was second in command he took full control of the entire army. With the lose of Sozin and the northern forces Zuko could only think about taking his revenge on the barbarians.
