seeing it only take like 30 seconds to login i fail to see how that affects a game that is 24 hr timer....

What delyas the turns is people have real lifes that must be attended to first.

as with Capo i log in once to play my turn then logout to finsih my turn.

if their is need to get pics for posts i log back in to gt them rather than delaying the game by doing it all whilst logged in the first time.

        • To: Chief Tarhe of the Wyandot
From: Numa Pompilius, King of Rome

We present you Rome's border proposal. It takes into account Piercian expansion to the south, Portugese expansion to the east and the rumors of vast empty lands to your west.

Please tell us what you think of it.

          • Numa Pompilius, has died of natural causes!

Rome grieves the loss of one of its finest rulers, he was a fair, reasonable and decent man, who above all else loved peace for he thought it was what would bring Rome prosperity.

The senate has elected General Hostilius as the new king of Rome.

A 18th century painting of the military victories of Tullus Hostilius.

A senator leaves the senate and addresses the pubic:All hail the new king of Rome! Rex Tullus Hostilius!

Crowd:Hail rex! Heil rex! Hail rex! Hail Hostilius!

            • Tullus Hostilius: We shall endeavor to advance the cause of Rome in any way we can. We share the illustrious dream of Rumulus and Numa Pompilus but we also recognize that there have been traitors in Rome. We shall seek to remove these traitors from Rome. Unlike them, we shall not steal from the people. We shall not con the people! We are not thieves! *gestures* We shall not betray the people! *deafening applause* *gestures to silence the crowd* I swear to you, my people that the Roman Eagle shall sore high again! *applause* Our word from the past will be respected, but we must restore what has been lost! We the Roman folk shall build a great realm for ourselves!

*applause* The new king waves towards the crowd, leaving it and enters the senate again. In the shadows a military commander approaches him.

Tullus Hostilius: So my good man, I believe you and your friend are quite grateful to me for your promotions? Well trust me yours will be more than a desk job, I have great plans... The remaining conversation was inaudible due to the applause and cheering of the crowd outside.

              • Dear Brennus,

The mighty mighty S.S.S. The Lonely Voyager has come across the city of Vienne. We are happy to announce that we are a peaceful nation and as such we are asking for a simple treaty that will bring our two nations closer together. We have found an agreement with the mighty peoples of Khmer, who speak a strange dialect, that we have trouble understanding, but thankfully we sent someone to learn their language and we get along fine. We simply propose that we have access to your fine country and when you can get the chance you can come and visit us and taste the fine foods that our Spainish chefs have to offer. We have the finest cuts of meat and the best seafood the world has to offer. As an added bonus to having an open border is that we can have a free trade that will benefit us greatly.

Regards, Captain Christopher Columbus of the S.S.S. Lonely Voyage and representative of the Royal Empress of the Spainish Empire, Isabella.

OOC. I might as well make use of the login logout system that i asked for.

To: Chief Tarhe of the Wyandot Nation

                  Greetings Chief,

There are two matters We'd like to discuss with you.

At first, our recent mappings of the lands between our borders has allowed Us to establish secure trade-routes to your lands. We may now start commerce, as soon as we have an open-borders agreement. Our advisers are working on a writing that can be used for official documents of Ours.

On the other hand, recent map published by the romans made us doubting the usefullness of our military support against the barbarian threat you are facing. Unless we get an open-borders agreement immediatly, Our troops would have to surround your entire territory in order to attack the barbarian settlement. Would you mind if We ordered them to come back ?

From: Chief Tarhe of the Wyandot Nation

You are a wise leader Empress. I agree, with the current borders what they are and writing still needing to be researched, the Piercian troops would probably be best served patrolling the Piercian lands. I thank you for your offer of military support - it will not be forgotten.

                    Chief Tarhe

To: King Numa Pompilius of the Roman Empire
From: Chief Tarhe of the Wyandot Nation

Mighty King Pomilius, your border proposal to the Wyandot Nation is agreeable.
                    -----
It is with a heavy heart when the sad news of King Numa Pompilius' death reached Wyandot lands. The Wyandot people wish General Hostilius success and fame in his newly appointed roll as the King of Rome.

King Hostilius, please confirm if the border agreement that King Pompilius sent to us is still valid.

                    All Hail King Hostilius!

                    • Emperor Lee was getting tired of the Oldonian Generals who never fought and only blocked. Every time the Zanza Guard came close the Oldonian warriors just ran. Emperor Lee gave full control over the Oldonian problem to his top advisor General Sozin. General Sozin was a powerful man who commanded great respect from all his men and was feared by all who crossed him.

His forces were known as the fire nation. The archers used flaming arrows and the spear men, ax men, and swordsmen all used weapons that were always on fire. General Sozin sent a message to the forces near the Oldonians to just go and find a barbarian city that was said to be close by. No Japanese forces were to go near the Oldonian capital until Sozin’s army was ready. He sent his second in command General Zuko along with his forces to go keep the Oldonians busy till the main force arrived.

                      • OFFICIAL MESSAGE TO THE MAYA

TO: Pacal II, Emperor of the Maya
FROM: Supreme King Wang Geon of Goguryeo, master of the Koreans

We are pleased to report that our mighty warriors have stopped the Aztec onslaught against Pyongyang. We await their upcoming assault on Seoul, however there seems to be yet another horde of Aztecs near the Jogye mountains which threatens our copper mines as well as the small village of Wonsan. We hope that our armies can similarly crush this scourge.

The reason for this missive is to establish a military alliance against this scum. Once our armies crush these villains we wish to establish an organized effort to invade and destroy their lands. We understand that their villiage is located west of Tikal in the jungles, and hope that we can rely on your assistance in destroying them. As per our border agreement, when taken the Aztec lands would fall under your own hegemony, and as such the decision would be yours as it pertains to its destruction. We ask for your advice on this matter; we are also prepared to invite our friends the Spartans to partake in this mission, we believe this would help ensure peace between all of our peoples and would serve as a unifying mission that would help all three of us in future diplomacy.

We believe at this time it would be dangerous for you and your family to visit our capital of Seoul, and until this enemy is crushed underfoot this will remain to be the case. We wish your people luck in dealing with this threat and await your response.

-Wang Geon, King of Goguryeo, Master of the Koreans-

                        • London Herald Headlines: New Form of Writing Developed - p1 There is a God - p2 Half-Built Boat Stolen - p3

New Form of Writing Developed. School kids everywhere are dismayed at the concept that essays must be more than just chicken scratches and pictures.
After Harry McFungal, the Crown Prince, declared that the written Funglish Language, whilst good enough for internal uses, was not compatible with other trade languages, scholars have been working around the clock to devise a standardised trade language to allow dealings with other nations to be formally recorded. Now on the eve of Harry's birthday, they have announced that the new language shall be presented to the Prince in the form of a birthday card tomorrow. The Herald shall continue to use the old form until the Prince formally agrees the introduction of the new method.

There is a God. Crown Prince has a vision in York. Sceptics say it was just gas.
Whilst on an inspection tour to York, Prince Harry met with the messenger from the RCS Fungolia, and debriefed him personally. After a long session in the Prince's private office, the Prince emerged and immediately called a meeting of all the secretaries and scholars of the Funglish Dominion. The messenger rested overnight, before leaving with the scouting party that is heading back to the RCS Fungolia. At the meeting, the Prince declared that he had heard how the Holy Roman Empire worshipped a being who was placed higher than even the Spirits. This being (known as God) was the true creator of the world and simply allowed the Spirits to maintain his creation in his absence.
Even though there are only a few believers in the small town of York, the Prince was so taken aback by this idea, that he has declared this new religion (known as Christianity) as the official religion of the Funglish Dominion. Many people in London who were devout followers of the Spirits (with CyberShy being the firm favourite) began to riot when news of the announcement reached them, as they felt they had not been consulted. More news on the riots below.

Half-Built Boat Stolen. The RCS Britannia is 'misplaced' shortly before completion.
Thieves took advantage of the chaos in London and stole a new Cartographic vessel, the RCS Britannia. The ship was mostly finished, with the fundamentals in place, but was awaiting furnishings and final approval for launch. An official spokesperson said that "the thieves are in for a very rough journey" and that "if they get very far, they'll be very sore". The ship is apparently missing any facilities for preparing or storing food, as well as some of the stabilisers required to keep the ship upright during a storm.
                          STOP PRESS
A team of dockyard workers led by decorated Militia Commander Hastings has successfully recaptured the ship. Whilst the criminals were being ferried back to London, Commander Hastings stayed aboard with a complement of men, in order to sail the Britannia back safely. Unfortunately, a storm brewed up and the Britannia was lost with all hand, including Commander Hastings. No wreckage has been found, so hope remains that the ship and crew will be returned safely, but there is currently no sign of the missing ship. Commander Hastings will be remembered as a man of duty, honour and devout patriotism. He is survived by his wife and two sons. The Prince, on hearing the news of the loss, is reportedly considering naming something after the man as a memorial to his gallantry. Sources close to the Prince suggest that the 'something' may be a new city site.

OOC: Just for reference, there is no King in the Funglish Dominion and there will not be one until the discovery of Monarchy. There will never be an Emperor as there is no Empire (it is a Dominion). The present ruler is the Crown Prince, and should be addressed as such (Prince McFungal is acceptable). In addition, this post coincides with the very end of the last post, which is supposed to be a couple of hundred years after the first post, thus the current Prince is the Great Grandson of the Elder from the first post. McFungal the Elder slowly dissolved the Elder Council over a period of many years, and instituted the princedom you see here. The reasons for such an act may (or may not) make themselves apparent in the future, so watch this space to find out more.

                              • You can be a King without monarchy.

The Spartans elected a King, the Romans elected a King, and the titles weren't necessarily hereditary (although sometimes that wound up happening). The word King doesn't necessarily connote hereditary rule.

                                Just something to think about.
