      • Bae Hyeongyeong was sitting in front of his Spartan house.
        The view was spectacular.

"Here I am, an ordinary boy, far from home. How did I become what I am today?" Bae thought.
"How is it possible that a simple man has a house in a country far away, being the official representative of the king. A friend of the leader of a foreign nation."

"If only my father could see me here....."

Many thoughts came up in his mind. He couldn't stop thinking about the past, the present and the future.

"What if Hong Yu wouldn't have been killed? What would've happened? Maybe Lacedaemon wouldn't have been able to win the war. Maybe the Athenians would've killed us and destroyed the peace and border proposal...."

"Those Spartan girls really can't cook, but they sure know how to entertain a man nevertheless! How am I ever going to tell my wife?"

"This is what paradise must be. If I tell Wang Geon that I consider another nation and not Korea to be paradise....."

"What to do next? What will Wang Geon do to me when I tell him that Hong Yu died? Will he make me responsible? Or will he finally accept me? Will he honor me for the peace deal?"

"Does Korea still exist? Maybe the Mayans have destroyed my nation. Should I go back?

Maybe I should go back! What happened to my house? My wife? I need to go home and tell Wang Geon about what happened....."

"No, when I go back Wang Geon may kill me......"

"Wang Geon may kill me when I stay here for another day"

"Why give up paradise for possible dead?"

"should I take responsibility and go home? Should I accept my responsibility, even if it means that I may die?"

"Sir, what are you talking about?" one of the Spartan girls asked. "Why would you die? Nobody is going to kill you!"

Bae came back into reality with a shock....
"I have been talking out loud, apparantly.
That girl understood what I said... am I even thinking in greek now?"

"I do speak Greek...... better then Hong Yu ever did. The irony..... Hong Yu came with me because of my lack of knowledge about the Greek language..... now I even think in Greek!"

"But I must go home now! I must tell my people about the peace in the south."

Bae raised from his chair and said to the girl: "I have to go now! Please tell Lacedaemon that I went home, I will tell my king about the acceptance of his proposal by the Spartans, and that I may come back one day to spend the rest of my days in Sparta. Thank him for his hospitality."

Then Bae left Sparta, carrying nothing more then he needed, dressed as a typical Spartan soldier, including his Spartan bow. "Bae Hyeongyeong, Bae Hyeongyeong, how did you become that Spartan...." he wondered by himself.

        "Let's go home now!"

          • Greeting unto the mighty Roman Empire

            TO: The Roman Empire
            FROM: The Wyandot Nation

Greetings to The Warrior Albius and your wise King Numa Pompilus!

We are the loyal citizens of the Wyandot Nation who is led by the great Chief Tarhe.

Concerning the geographical outlay of our lands, you already know that the fair Empress Iris' lands are to our south...we share Lake Iris between our two lands (Piercia controls the southern shore and the Wyandot controls the northern shore).

The city that Warrior Albius is standing outside of is called Mound City. Our capital is just a days walk northwest of Mound City.

The mighty Oldonian Empire is located due west.

We maintain good relations with both of our neighbors - The Oldonians and The Piercians - it is hoped that we can have good relations with the Romans as well.

Be aware Warrior Albius - there is a barbarian encampment to the north of our location. Caution should be used if you are heading in that direction. Chief Tarhe has informed us that we are currently training a group of "Dog Soldiers" to properly address these heathens. The citizens of Mound City will gladly resupply Albius' band of explorers.

            • TO: The Piercian Empire
              FROM: The Wyandot Nation

Greetings unto the fair Empress Iris of Piercia!

It is with great joy that my messengers from Mound City has brought me news of contact with the Roman people.

Empress, sorry for not contacting you earlier, but my nation is in the middle of training our Dog Soldiers to address a barbarian encampment located to the north of our nation. But that is a different subject matter. Any way, Mound City has been settled to the north of Lake Iris so that commerce between our two empires can eventually commence. Building a road (or even a trail for that matter) through the rouged mountainous terrain between our two nations might prove to be problematic, but that is for the future to tell.

My people of Mound City have already made contact with the Roman Warrior Albius in the hopes that the Wyandot Nation will have the same friendly relationship that we currently enjoy with your Empire.

Empress Iris, I accept your kind offer of serving as a third party mediary if any differences occur between the Wyandot Nation and the Roman Empire, but hopefully it will be unnecessary.

Chief Tarhe of the Wyandot Nation

              • To: Chief Tarhe of the Wyandot Nation
From : Empress Iris of the Piercian Empire

                Greetings wise Chief,

Our troops shall soon appear next to Mound City. They are heavyly armed and will help you dealing with the barbarian threat. Don't be affraid when you see them. If you want to deal with that threat alone, please let Us know. We may recall most of our troops. If you accept Our help, Our troops are ordered to give you control of the settlement, should it survive the assault.

They are mapping the area too, so that Our commercial sailing ships may travel between Mound City and Piercied Hill or Asizia, both located on the river Esther. Even Wild Kho'Per can be reached by ship.

The southern shore of Lake Iris shall be settled soon, in order to keep Our new commerce-routes safe. Now all We need, is to find a common form of writing, in order to get an official open-borders treaty. We are currently working on that.

We have dealt with the romans for a quite long time now, and can ensure you that they are honorable people. They are definitively trustworthy.

Empress Iris of the Piercian Empire

                  • The Return of Bae Hyeongyeong...

General Bae Hyeongyeong spent a long time in Sparta, in fact possibly too long. He had done much work though; he established the exact border proposal he himself thought up in Pyongyang many years before, he had established good relations with Lacedeamon, the new leader of the Greeks, and had become a great ambassador to the Greek people in adopting the Greek lifestyle and mastering the Greek language and culture. Many even say, if not for his presence, the war between the Greek city-states may have continued unabated. He had risen to great heights within the Korean military, starting out as a simple soldier and rising to become a General and then an ambassador to one of Korea's most important neighbors, he correctly realized that by returning to Korea now he can cement himself as one of Wang Geon's premier advisors. Unfortunately, however, this was at great cost; the former chief negotiator, Hong Yu, fell to an arrow during a Greek battle. His dying words were confusing to Bae, but he realized there must have been some purpose to them; Gang Jo is in love with the Princess.

Gang Jo is in love with the Princess.

It was all he thought about on his way back to Korea. His time in Sparta had certainly changed him, he was much more muscular from all of the sports they played (wrestling, racing, etc.), his skin was darker and more leathery, perhaps his wife would not recognize him? It didn't matter, he was doing his duty to his country. He crossed the Taebong river and uttered to himself "now Bae, you are back in Korea" he was proud to say it; it was he who established this border...

                    Days later, outside of Pyongyang...

Shin Sung returned to his post, after bringing the remainder of the Maya captives back to Seoul, the crowds of family members who showed up to see their families again gave him a great feeling in his heart. He finally thought his new position had something to offer. His lieutenant Han Gong patted him on the back "I think things are going to be fine now" he said "I'm almost happy Wang Geon took over now, it seems he is going to turn out to be a fantastic King."

Shin Sung looked around nervously and said to him "Don't say that sh*t Han, you don't want anybody to hear you, he'll have you killed for that!"

"No he wouldn't, look at what he's accomplished, he made peace with Maya, established our permenent borders, he's building a monastery in Seoul, you are a GENERAL now!" Han laughed "The list goes on, what is it with you?"

Shin Sung knew Wang Geon better than Han had, he knew that Wang Geon was a cut-throat militarist leader, and much of his accomplishments were won by his advisors and not himself "Just don't imply doubt in the King, that's all."

                    "I didn't, I said I was-"

"ALMOST happy, you said ALMOST happy, just do as I say, alright" Shin Sung finished, turning around, he noticed a man walking alone towards Pyongyang, more specifically a soldier, a Greek soldier, "What's this about, look at that, its a Greek. He's by himself."

                    "What shall we do sir?"

The General thought "Well, maybe he's lost, maybe he brings word from Sparta, Hong Yu and Bae Hyeongyeong were sent there you know, come with me, we will speak with him."

"Sir, are you sure that is wise, he seems to be armed?"

"If Bae Hyeongyeong could approach an entire army of Greeks, with no weapons, hardly any clothing, and no peace agreement alone, I think the two of us can manage this one lone Greek..."

                    Response to the Maya.

                    TO: The great Pacal II.

We would also like to send our condolences to the wise and munificent Pacal the first, he was a great man and a testament to the hearty Mayan people. No wonder in the city of Tikal ever stood so tall, so awe-inspiring, so magnanimous and with such grandeur as that of your father Pacal, the world is better off for having him.

With that said we are pleased to hear that your family shall visit our humble city of Seoul, it is no Tikal but our people have a very accomodating and polite nature that I am sure will please your highness. I shall summon our finest entertainment for the occasion and you will have some of our fine delicacies. The Princess can not wait to see you, and I am proud to announce that she is pregnant and happy to provide Korea a future leader, who will no doubt share our mutual respect and friendship.

We would also like to thank you on behalf of the Korean people for the return of the hostages taken during our troubles, the gesture of goodwill and mercy shall always be remembered in Korea.

And finally, let us discuss the destruction of the Aztecs, their downfall will be a mutual project that we can both take pride in.

                    Thank you.

                      • Emperor Lee received word that an Oldonian ship was seen off the cost. At the same time one of Lee’s spies returned for a long journey. He told Emperor Lee that it was possible that one of the Oda clan may be living in a land known as Korea. He said that the people of Korea looked similar to the Japanese and even wore the same armor. Lee began to get a familiar evil look in his eyes. He turned to the ninja and told him to quickly deliver it to the Oldonian capital.

                        Oldonian government,
For many years our peoples have lived in peace. Though you have entered our lands many times before we have always tried our best to resolve any problem we have had. Now to insure that this peace last we wish to send you a delegate to discus a non-aggression peace treaty between our peoples. If you agree we will send someone immediately.

                        Sincerely
                        Emperor Zonoske Lee

                        • The Japanese letter arrived in the palace and the generals were meeting to discuss it.

This is hilarious said the leader of the navy. We out number them in ships and they are now caving in. I say we strike them hard and take them out.

The other generals roared in encouragment.

We shall not be dictated to by those sniveling Nips

The home affairs chief General Anderson stood and hushed the crowd quickly
Yes they have hated us since time began, the old Razite priests preached forgiveness to them and they have raided our shores, taken sides with the Black Skinned Heathen, we must act now.

I say lets sink their damned boats and make a statement

                          The army chief stood.
I have ordered my men to destroy the Blackies in our south, down there we discovered many Ninja artifacts. It is only a matter of time before my troops encounter the Ninja Nips and we will once and for all be remembered as the people of power

The discussion went on for a few hours with the blood thirsty generals agreeing that the Japanese were not to be trusted.

                          ----------------------------------------------------------------------

In the work camps the Prince's followers got word of the generals plans and knew it was bad for Oldonia. They wrote secret papers and sent word to their friends in the islands to warn them of the plans.
