We have no ill intent, however my liege, Ozzy, has had difficulties with the queen, Sharon of late. Other duties of running the kingdom have taken his attention away from important diplomacy. He apologizes for his diplomatic absence.

He wishes to thank the Khmer for their warm hospitality during his vacation and apologizes for urinating on your palace.

He is concerned over the new Khmer settlement however, but is hopeful an arrangement can be found that is mutually beneficial. Please be patient, a more formal proposal/offer will be sent soon.

Ozzy also wishes to again request assistance against the Holy Roman Empire. Such assistance would do much to warm relations between our two people's and would provide a substantial, tangible benefit for the Khmer as well. The Holy Roman aggressors are not far away, it is an easily traveled route for the strong Khmer axes. The Metalheads would be happy to show the way.

Was there a Roman attack I am not aware of?
Why do people keep mixing me up with the agressor?

Edit: People should really use HRE to distinguish them from us *real* Romans.

        • The Hardy Boys brigade circled the Black Peoples city. The information they gathered showed that here was also the home of the Ferocious lions.

Finally the Oldonians had discovered the source of the lions. The black people trained them and then sent them out into the lands to attack anyone they found.

The Hardy Boys sent word back to the palace and awaited orders.

The black people were strong and alone the Hardy Boys would not be powerful enough to take them down.

          • Brennus knows nothing other than what he has seen. We assume Rome is the center of the Holy Roman Empire. If not you should clear your name and point out the true aggressor. Also, ask them to stop dragging your city's name through the pig dung.

            • While I can't wait for the two Romes to meet, can you imagine?

HRE: Greetings, I speak on behalf of Holy Rome.

              Rome: EXCUSE ME?!?! Holy what?

Maybe HRE should change their name to the Franks?

Romans, we have received your counter proposal concerning the great desert. We will consider sharing with you any mutual beneficial discoveries that we might make in the Desert of Illusions.

                • Local builder!

Lord Meto II we are nearly there, soon our capital will be surrounded with an unpenetratable wall. Some say that even the wild people from the forest will not be able to enter into our domain. If my calculations are correct by next full moon the last brick will be laid.

                  Good news!

But do not dare to delay my fathers tomb a day do you understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                    • The army of archers from Sparta walked day after day, hour after hour. Every night they paused at a hill to be aware of approaching enemies. Sparta had many enemies. First of all: the Koreans. A weak kind of people for whom Sparta had no fear. Then there were the Corinthians, guards of the weak, their former brothers. And of course the Athenians. Sparta had no respect for the diplomats from Athens who tried to please everybody.

The Spartans were eager to meet any army of their enemies to battle them. But most of all they were eager to meet the famous Mayans. With them the Spartans hoped to sign a 'deal of the strong'.

                      • At the same time an army from Corinth was marching into the same direction. Ready to help the Koreans in their struggle against the might Mayans. They didn't knew any news from the distant battle. They had hope in their heart that the Koreans had been able to sign a peace deal. Perhaps the Koreans could continue to survive.

But if there was a need for war, then the Corinthians would certainly line up against the Mayans. And even against their brothers, the Spartans. Rumor had told the Corinthians that the Spartans were not far away, but the Corinthian spies weren't able to locate the Spartan army.

                        • The Spartans had built their city in the mountains.
There they mined silver and farmed the river banks in the desert.
A river was not too far away. The mountains strengthened the spirit and the muskles of the Spartans.

Corinth was an entirely different city.
Build in the low lands near the sea, next to a big forrest.
The corinthians learned to work the fields and tried to mine the bronze they found in a nearby hill.

                          • The tension between the three city states kept groing.
The Athenians started to build up the defense of their city. Many young boys were trained into the fine art of archery.

The Spartans dug holes into their hills to fortify their soldiers.
The Corinthians hide in the forrests, ready to ambush any army from their rivals.

War was close when one of the diplomats of the Athenians visited Corinth by night. When he left the city early in the morning another diplomat headed towards Sparta.
When the first diplomat returned in Athens he was glad to report to the chieff that Corinth had agreed to signed peace. The 2nd diplomat never returned nevertheless. Rumors told that the Spartans killed the diplomat as soon as he told them about their mission.

Nobody had any hope that the brothers of before wouldn't meet at the battle field. Soon there were no farmers to work the fields. All men were armed. People started to starve. Who could end this madness?
