Hong approached the palace with emense pride with what he was doing, he felt as ambassador to the Mayans he was doing something great for his country, the guards didn't share this sentiment. Hong Yu thought to himself "Damn, how do, oh yes" and in Mayan said "I am Hong Yu, representing the court of his majesty the Supreme King Wang Geon of Korea, I have a missive directly from my lord for your Pacal."
The Mayan guards looked at him intensely, one of them took a step forward towards Hong Yu "Show me your master's insignia" he said, the guards were worried about a possible assassination attempt, despite Pacal's illness there were those who wanted him out of the picture within Tikal, and a fake diplomat from Korea would be one way of doing it, of course the guard wasn't going to let Hong Yu see Pacal anyway "Well" he said eyeing the Korean symbol presented by Hong Yu "You will not be able to see Pacal, I can bring him your message."
Hong Yu was dissapointed "I was quite looking forward to seeing him, I want to send-"
"Give me your message." the guard said bluntly, Hong Yu's entourage was getting upset at the way the gaurds were treating their General, Hong Yu gave them a knowing look, telling them to relax.
"Here you are, now I understand there would be-" again the guard interrupted him.
"Please, you must go now, I will deliver your message immedeately, but you must leave" the guard did not want to tell them it was for their own safety, but that was precisely why.
Here is the letter...

TO: Pacal of the Maya
FROM: Supreme King Wang Geon of Goguryeo, land of the Koreans
We are pleased to inform you that the Korean people and their Supreme King, his majesty Wang Geon, accept your proposal for a border agreement. We hope that this will lead to our mutual prosperity and unfettered brotherhood for millenia to come.
Hopefully this shall lead to a great future for our two states, and we can learn to understand eachother better. We shall extend an invitation for you and your family to come to Seoul and dine with his majesty Wang Geon as our royal guests. We hope this is a possibility for you and look forward to your visit.
Thank you.
-Supreme King Wang Geon of Goguryeo-
Back in Seoul...
"What does he want with us?" Princess Sinjeong asked Gang Jo as they approached Wang Geon's camp. The Lama Jinul was close behind, but he hardly spoke Korean and didn't understand the conversation.
"He simply wishes to speak with you, he is just concerned for your father, his unit has yet to return to Seoul, he tried to see him himself, but he apparently went out on campaign." Gang lied, he hated doing it, he had strong feelings for this princess already.
"And you searched his home?" the Princess asked, she knew her father didn't leave, and she suspected that Wang Geon killed him, she was certain the same fate would come to her and now Lama Jinul, but there wasn't much they could do.
"Well, yes, he wasn't there and the monks informed us that he had gone on campaign" he lied, he suspected she knew it, and wasn't sure how much this Lama knew.
"And Wang Geon, he was there?" she asked.
"Yes, why do you ask Princess?" he replied nervously.
"There is no reason, I am just concerned for my father, adn I am a bit nervous to meet Wang Geon, its a good thing we have great men like him to come protect us while father is away." she said, a tear left her eye.
"Why are you crying?" Gang Jo asked, he think he already knew the answer.

"You stop it, you're going to be fine, nothing will happen to you I promise." he said, he whiped a tear from her cheek, "This is it, right here, Wang Geon is inside, he would much like to speak with you."
Why would anything happen to me?" the Princess asked, Gang Jo realized he made a mistake.
"No reason, I just said it. Wang Geon is a good man, he just wants to make sure you're safe is all, you know, in case something happened to Gung Ye."
Jinul finally spoke up "Is this Gung Ye now, I speak with Gung Ye now."
"Not yet Lama, first the Princess, then you."
"Well Princess, he will see you now..."
