I thought that all votes for July were due in by the end of July ... CyberShy, please clarify this.

In August we vote for July
etc. etc.

We started on June 3rd and started voting for June on July 3rd. You guys could vote for June till the end of July. Now the voting period for July starts.

Regarding making votes public, if the majority wants that, then that's fine with me.
but I fear that people may start voting based on who's leading the game in all categories.

ie. the French are on the 1st spot when all votes are counted and then some people stop voting for French just only because he's on the 1st spot.

The score-list is visible indeed, but people can't manipulate the score-list.
Not to mention that it stays a suprise till the end of the game.

Nobody knows if he's behind or ahead. That forces people to keep on paying attention. What if someone is far behind, it may stop motivate him to write stories/ perform diplomacy, etc.

So: if the majority wants to results to be public, fine with me, but my advise is: keep it a secret till the game is over.

Forgot to mention that the game is indeed still up.
I managed to delay the movement of my internet connection till when my new connection is ready in my new house.

That'll mean that there'll only be a small period of time in a few weeks where the game will be offline.

I don't think people are going to vote based on who's winning, and if they do that's just messed up. I mean, I am certainly not trying to win because I know I'm not going to win. But I think people will try harder if they see what votes they're getting.

It isn't a huge deal to me, I just wanted to see the voting.

But as far as the issue goes I say YES to showing the votes.
