He was in a hurry so I couldn't talk for too long... but I do know that he's working on a two-part system. An updated uploader, and an optional Mod. You can use the Uploader on its own in the same way at the current version, or you can load the mod, and export much more data, which the uploader can then shift up to the website.
On the roadmap somewhere is the ability to load up a Google maps style map of your kingdom, which you can choose to make public or keep private. It's basically so you can keep an eye on your civ whilst at the office. Pretty much anything you can see in-game will be accessable if you use the mod. The only restrictions will be that you can't give orders or change techs or end your turn remotely.
