and capo. the whole chairman thing is not to be taken seriously. i merely voluntered to be main organizer following a request that I do so. and I'm trying to do just that, organize. but we can never finish a vote on anything because people don't vote, they bring up every new angle imaginable and some unimaginable. so we're stuck with lot's of half-finished votes and a lot of confused players and a frustrated organizer. I'm merely trying to get done what needs to be done here. what we need to do is get hold of one item at a time.

we wouldnt have 2 of the same vote. so I'm trying to make the choices simple and sort things out one at a time. if you have a better way of doing it, be my guest and organize all you want.

If I may advise as an ex-chairman how to push the vote through people's throats,

keep copy/pasting the vote-questions, keep including the vote tally, and keep putting the people who didn't vote yet in fat bold letters in those post (red color helps).

PM them, mail them, etc. etc.
It works.

Do as many votes as possible at once.
It's hard to keep people voting, let them vote one biggie at once, that's easier.

There, does that help? Basically, I don't care what map we use, but would prefer a random map. If we go non-random, then I would want an Ozzy-Earth map with no New World starters & a total separation from the Old World.

3. no new world starts - several AI civs would be good (retarded in some way, eg no starting techs; or maybe just put Capo in America...**)

Pinchak. I'm taking your vote and concluding you want earth. because that vast list of things was MEANT to be confusing and unwieldly. it was a rhetorical ploy to get people in line and shut everybody up for a second so that we could finish the damned vote. apparently it backfired since irony doesn't type very well.


The following vote list is the one that counts. and as it is a tie between earth and random, and since Aussie_Lurker tilts towards random, I'm gonna throw my lot in there to make a majority. We have now decided, BY VOTE, on a RANDOM map.
