ok. take rome. probably would make the most sense since you have an idea of what's going on there. Carthage hasnt had a permament leader, so someone who hasnt gotten any instructions could take carthage.

Due to having np last session while CT was hosting, let him be the host this one as well. So we can save some time.

Last week, halfway through the second session, deity and I came to the conclusion that I should host the remaining time. For some reason, Cyber contradicted me and insisted that we continue to use deity's IP. It took some persuasion to convince Cyber to let me host.

I second that, for technical game connection reasons of course. It is a fact that every time I hosted, we had zero technical problems. Just copy and paste my IP addy exactly as I type it (not here, in AIM).

The game will be ready at 6:30 pm EDT (22:30 UTC).

You're right. Things worked fine when YOU hosted, not when Deity hosted. Perhaps it's indeed better if you host the game instead of Deity.

Be sure that you've installed it on the specific port immediately!

I was sweating for a bit over whether or not I'd be able to get Judaism. Thankfully it worked out. I sure hope I get Divine Right first, if not I smell a Jihad!!

But yea, I found very, very little history about the Arabs pre-Islam. So I either tried to crudely map Islamic history over the entire span of my civ, make up a bunch of stuff for half the game, or go from Biblical history. That is definitely imho the most interesting option.

Most Arabs/Muslims believe they are decendents from Ishmael so that that works out great. And Mohammed can supposedly trace his ancestory directly to Ishmael. So I'm going off of that as well.

The only annoying thing so far is not being able to call myself "Arab" since the term didn't exist at this point. But my new ruler, Yarob, is the basis of the term (or vice-versa depending on whose side you are on) so after this session I'll be able to say Arab. Yay!

And according to Muslims the Kaaba was originally built by Abraham and Ishmael. Whether that is true or not, it definitely exisited long before Islam and was long a holy place of pilgramage, which is facinating I think. So I've made the Kaaba=Stonehenge.
