Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Civ5 should be done SMAC style-a dozen people doing voiceovers...dont think any of them were bigtimers either. They had a _lot_ more character than spock droning on and on in civ
A ship at sea is its own world. To be the captain of a ship is to be the unquestioned ruler of that world and requires all of the leadership skills of a prince or minister.
Men grow tired of sleep, love, singing and dancing, sooner than war
I agree with several voices for techs and leaderheads. My choices are:
Russell Crowe (techs having to do with the sea through Astronomy)
James E Jones (Barbarian Leaderhead)
Christopher Walken (any tech that has repitition in its description)
Morgan Freeman (Good catch all voice)
Jim Carrey (Fire inspector on living color voice when a tech is discovered in a goodie hut "let me show ya somptin")
Jerry Lewis (Stooge voice for Frances Leaderhead voice)
Patrick Stewart (Space Race tech)
John Cleese (Brittish leaderhead)
Hmm, good ideas. It would be cool if the leaderheads had voices of their own. Or at least a herald's voice for each civ or something. Must think on this...

I went bananas for Wallace Shawn. Give nasal a turn.
I do not live in London, I live in South London. South London is different, a warm melting pot where everyone can become a bona fide South Londoner by virtue of two things. One: living in South London, and two: having no aspiration to live in the Cotswolds.
That was my first thought, too. One of his german voices (so not HIS really of course - and there were two) for Capt. Picard is pretty much used for any scientific/historical documentation in Germany ever since. Even in "scientific" commercials he is used a lot.
Another idea (not seriuous, of course) would be a casting show on TV with several candidates and one gets eliminated through voting every week and the winner does it... Brand new idea, uh ?
Wow, what a tough choice. Lotta good suggestions. I have to throw my own banana in here tho:
Sir Derek Jacobi
Another prolific English master-actor who has proven his voice talents. I've always kept an eye out for what he's in ever since I learned after seeing 'I, Claudius' that he doesn't actually stutter.
I also have to agree though that many unknown but good voice actors of both sexes is probably what I'd like to see the most. At first Nimoy was a novelty in being able to recognize his voice, but I still listen to them now because of the quality of his delivery. (Some more than others, I can actually hear "... the value of building high walls." in my head at this moment.)
I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Personally I'd go with Sir David Attenborough, although Mr Nimoy did a great job I can't help thinking that he was only doing it 'til Sir David arrived.
