Nintendo pre-announced something today though:

Nintendo's upcoming Wii MotionPlus accessory for the revolutionary Wii Remote controller again redefines game control, by more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space. The Wii MotionPlus accessory attaches to the end of the Wii Remote and, combined with the accelerometer and the sensor bar, allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion. Every slight movement players make with their wrist or arm is rendered identically in real time on the screen, providing a true 1:1 response in their game play. Basically, I was right that the Wii's wiimote is an imprecise, twitchy piece of ****. Nintendo agrees. Now they're launching an overpriced addition to supposedly make it more accurate. Something that should've been there in the first place -- as I said.

It looks like it's a gyroscope to complement the accelerometer, again, something that should've been there in the first place but still is far from a 1:1 mapping like this PR bull**** claims.

This game is going to give Halo 3 and COD4 a run for their money in sales. I predict it'll be the #1 game this holiday, selling many millions.

With the original Wiimote the Wii dominated the world HW numbers, is certain to have passed the 360 in install base in the US with this weeks numbers, and has sold respectable numbers in SW (albeit Nintendo 1st party plus casual games, for the most part)

This addition should expand the Wii's horizons further, I guess.

The Netflix feature cannot be understated. The 360 is now potentially the best digital media device for your TV...all it's missing is bluray. But with the 10,000+ titles on the MS video download service AND Netflix's catalog, that'll put Blockbuster out of business...

I just watched the video, and he said exclusive to the 360 and Games for Windows, or I need a hearing check.

Mass Effect is an Xbox 360 exclusive title as well (thus the "only on Xbox" stamp on its box), though it's also on the PC. The PC is a different market that is different from the consoles.
