On the subject of Maggie Chow, the first time I played through the game, I discovered she was a bad guy when I found the secret in her apartment. Then, when I was on my second visit to Versalife, I spotted her in the UC chamber when I was still on the catwalk overhead, so I shot her with the sniper rifle. It was a very anti-climactic confrontation.

It was much the same my first time with WS. I just ran when I encountered him the first time. Then when he popped up the second time, he was right in my face, and I just happened to have the Dragon-Tooth Sword in my hand when the encounter occurred. I clicked, he died.

I took her out with tranquilizer darts and then I finished her off with my sword.

One thing about Deus Ex that makes me wonder a bit is that there is no coarse language in it.

It was made seven years ago. Nowadays it's much more common for games for adult consumption to have pretty standard coarse language.

Didn't really harm the believability though, in my opinion. Not having rude language in Fallout 3 would have been bad. Not having rude language in war-themed games is bad (I'm glad Company of Heroes has all that cursing), Deus Ex doesn't really require it. Maybe in very few places, like what the various bums say, but not for the major characters.

I dont believe in lizard people, 4 armed blue humanoid gods or virgin births, but I give more credit to folks who wrestled with figuring the world out 2000 years or more ago (and folks who hold on to their ancient ways) than to folks making stuff up now. Now if someone were claiming that Hillary Clinton was a blue humanoid god, or a had done parthenogenisis, Id comment on that.

But this game isn't about Hinduism or Christianity. It IS about illuminati, new world order conspiracy theories, black helicopters, and related stuff.

I finally did the run back to the Hotel Clinton (using a ballistic armor suit and a couple of runs into the clinic for healing) and made it Brooklyn (yay for Brooklyn!!!)

for anyone who is following this, my playing has been light lately, but Ive made to the ship, and done the upper decks on the ship.

The whole shipyard level is IMO one of the better parts of the game. Mainly because going nuclear and trying to fight your way through is not the best answer, taking it carefully and picking off the obstacles really pays.

Don't forget to pick up the Ambrosia for Dowd on your way off the ship.
