    I have just used psp 7 to convert tga from the spredit and they work I am still having a problem making death and idle as none directional but I have got my first unit finished.

      I still cant get to run with the images it jusr crashes makespr, to say im pissed off is the understatement of the century.

          Its hard to post all ive got but heres 2 images from what im trying to do, one unit and one shadow of the same image. You tell me if theyre right.

          and are you sure shadow pics dont need alpha channels because the cow unit has them?

          EDIT: sorry i attached wrong shadow, just check the unit.

            in psp7 the ones coming of makespr have an alpha but it's just one big black block.

            also you got a compiled version of the first exe the one with the unit hotspot thingy.

              Two things I have noticed .

              One your shadows the wrong way round it’s a black shadow on a white background.

              Two you alpha on your image is going over your image did you use the

              Adjust > colour balance>black and white points function to make the black not so black.

                Yeah i know my shadow is wrong way, i changed it round because i exported it wrong way. Can you attach a working script for unit sprite attack and unit sprite idle?

                  yes and no you will have to mod as it is set up for a different unit. its a makespr script with attack death ideal and move. Thank the wombat for the death bit

                      Okay i made a script for the Infantryman unit from CtP2 (GU022) bbut makespr still crashes

                      Ive attached the script and and images, hopefully i fixed the stupid black and white adjust thing in psp.

                          The problem was the script and the shadows I altered the script (setting the first frame to 0 and replacing } which had diapered)

                          Also ideal and death are not directional and should start guiaxx.4.1.tif

                          I haven’t got it to work with shadows yet

                          By the way what is he firing a canon there’s to much flame coming out the barrel could a glitch during colour conversion on exporting.

                            guiaxx.4.1.tif? I thought the unit number had to come first, or is it different only for idle animations?

                            Well i dont know i just changed the hue only, looks identical to the one i exported from sprite edit, so maybe its that.

                              Your little bloke is running around spr edit with his shadow happy now

                              Just make a new set with spr edit and convert in psp7 (if you have it) if you get it right at lest on my eXtra problems machine the shadow should be pure white in tile mode

                              Re name idle death and there shadows

                              Use my modified script below

                              Now if you have that exe you can use the spr viewer on it to find out the hotspot and shield locations for the original unit.

                                Okay i see what you mean now starting with 1 for frame 1 and not 0 as all the others.
