          It didnt work. so i went to play quake 1 for awhile.

          This idle and attack animation just to get this clear, they have to be named GUIA22 for idle or GUAA22 for attack, like with the "IA" or "AA" before the unit number (22)?

              HALLELUJAH!!!! Its definately the shadows, because it compiles without them. I think the color or resolution may be too high on them.

              Also see pic attached, i shouldnt name them like that, i should name them with a facing of 4 and not 1. I think youre as bad at typing as i am at learning

              EDIT: I just figured out what was wrong with the shadows - they didnt have alpha channels! I altered one shadow, put a new alpha channel in it and the one shadow compiled with the images.

                  Yea i renamed them all with facing 4 instead of 1, and it worked. I just did the shadows and it compiled and it works in sprite edit. I just need to do the hotspots, where is spr viewer?

                    I think the sprite viewer Big Mc is referring to is in the debug build of the executable, which you probably won't have unless you've been compiling the game yourself.

                      If you have the very first exe (the source code as it came) there was a blank button click on it and the game will start.

                      a basic interface now replaces the one at the bottom type in the spr number of the original eg (gu58(war walker)) in the white bloc then click on the left button with no written on it, it should load the original sprite then check the hotspot and the other thing they call it something else but it's the shield data that goes at the bottom of the script.

                        No i dont have the first debug exe, is it possible you can upload it somewhere? I compiled the source once at the beginning but its long gone now and i dont think im upto doing it all again

                        edit: or you can tell me the numbers i need for the infantryman from ctp2.

                              If you can upload or send it to me (WARNING ive have 56K) if you got ICQ, or tell me the numbers for CtP2 infantryman, either is fine right now, but of course eventually the spr viewer would be useful.

                                I got it down to 3.5 meg but I can’t delete anything else without losing a potentially important bit of info so at 56k it should take a couple of hours .also it’s got a bug as you quit I will try to find the English file I edited to put text on the interface.

                                You may wish to put this on a new ( none play test installation as I don’t know how this one will like play test stuff.

                                But to wet your appetite the numbers you wanted
