Best of luck to you guys. Apolyton was the first Forum I ever joined and the one where I acquired my present nickname, it holds a special place in my heart Take Care!

so far this seems to be somewhat true, yet somewhat false...the latest episode of "ModCast" was due a week ago (the latest episode, ModCast #31: Wouter's Back, was released on the 25th of April (CST), according to iTunes - 2 weeks after that was the 9th of May). i'm just wondering what the situation is...

There has been an extended delay in the editing of ModCast Episode 32 due to a combined limited availability of both its main (Tony) and alternate (Wouter) editor.

                Sad news...

This is certainly an end of era for Apolyton.

I've spent 9 years with this community and I've seen many fellow players go, something that had cost me in the past. Now I see those that I considered the heart of Apolyton go too. I wasn't a regular OFT poster so I didn't really have the chance to know Ming and rah better, but certainly they made their impact to the community all those years. I did had the chance however to work with Dan, Wouter and Dan (Solver) in the past and I really appreciated their efforts and character.

I don't now what to say, I wish you guys the best from my heart. Apolyton will never be the same without you, at list for me personally.

Good luck to the new administration

Faretheewell, Dan. You have been a very good admin, and the legacy of both the Ultimate Civ2 Site and Apolyton is considerable. I have always appreciated the professionalism and respect you've shown me and all of us here on Apolyton.

Thank you for the most kind and thoughtful reflection, Keygen. St. Leo, thank you for the kind and positive assessment.

I'm pleased that I can still contribute to the Civ community through PolyCast, and that is has been and continues to be by and large well received.

                    • Thanks to the outgoing team, especially DanQ as co-founder, for being instrumental in establishing what I consider an icon of a site. Things will not be the same here, but I think you have left an enduring legacy.

                            • Thanks, Dan & Co. I rarely post here but I have been a fan of the site since I first became a fan of Civ 2 upon its release. I feel like I am losing some old friends. Then again I don't care very much for the direction the game itself has taken since Civ 4. Everything seems to be moving from fall into winter.

                              • Actually I hope the direction for V is as good as IV did after III.
