The Giants' offense looked positively putrid. I found watching them to actually be unpleasant. I know he's won Superbowls, but I have to believe Coughlin's days are numbered.

The entertainment value of the last 10 minutes of the SD-AZ game totally trumped the snoozefest that was the first half. Well worth the wait - though not the ending I would have predicted.

Is that basically the jist of the story? Video of the act will get you tossed out, but the actual act itself won't?

Looks like there's evidence that Goodell knew about it which explains why there was more coverage of Ray Rice than the Chargers on the ESPN broadcast. I didn't know Ray Rice was a Charger.

It's a casino hotel, man. Did Goodell really think there was no way that footage would surface at some point? As the Andy Garcia character says in Ocean's Eleven, "In my casino, there's always somebody watching."

If Goodell was actually aware of the in-elevator footage (and I find it hard to believe he wouldn't have been), he should fall on his sword. By which I mean, resign immediately.

It depends on what the Ravens knew, because the day after the fiance (now wife) was saying she was doing stuff as well, so for all the Ravens knew, they were fighting back and forth (remember both Rice and the fiance were arrested for assault initially) and Rice hit her hard and knocked her out. The video shows that wasn't the case at all, the fiance wasn't hitting Rice, he just unloaded on her.

But the NFL had other options ... namely going to the casino or Rice's lawyer — but the NFL never bothered to ask.

It does NOT depend on "what the Ravens knew." They (like Goodell and the NFL) were all too ready to sweep this under the rug - despite the public video of Rice dragging his fiancee's unconscious body from the elevator. Taking the word of the attacker as truth while making little or no effort to get the full facts is tantamount to condoning Rice's behavior.
