That leaves Marshall, Rice, MJD and Vincent Jackson. Jackson is playing SF in SF. Marshall is playing Cleveland in Cleveland. That's going to be a mucky, low scoring game. Rice is playing Detroit. He's running much better now than he has in weeks past, otherwise I'd say drop rice. MJD should be fine.

You did clearly say to start Gordon, Decker, and Graham. The rest of the way, what the hell did you even say?

Jackson is playing SF in SF. Was that an endorsement? How was that an endorsement? SF doesn't exactly have a reputation for sucking against WR's in the same way that saying you had a guy going against the Lions D a few years ago would be understood as a plush matchup and an endorsement. In fact, SF is actually #4 in passing defense at only 199.7 yards per game, behind only Seattle, Houston, and NO. It's actually a tough matchup. But what it comes down to is you didn't say you would start Jackson.

Where's your endorsement of Rice? Rice is playing Detroit. He's running much better than he has in weeks past, otherwise I'd say drop Rice. Otherwise drop Rice. In one sentence, you said he was doing well but otherwise drop Rice. You didn't endorse Rice at all.

And playing Detroit means what exactly? Until they were gashed by the actually amazing McCoy in a bizarre snow game, the Lions, thanks to a highly drafted and stout front four, were actually one of the best run defenses in football. Even after McCoy, they still rank 4th in rushing allowed at 98.6 yards per game, behind only the Cardinals, Panthers, and Jets.

So saying Rice was playing Detroit, to a person following this season, is actually the opposite of an endorsement! It's a bad matchup! Although McCoy's success made this a little murky so it is hard to tell exactly what Rice playing Detroit even means. Hence why you should have clarified with something like, 'which is a good/bad matchup' or 'so I would start Rice'. Instead you just said 'he's been doing well, otherwise drop him'. Not an endorsement of Rice at all.

Then you said MJD should be fine. To me, THAT's an endorsement of MJD who had 0 points because he didn't play. It was known before the game though so I won't hit you on that. I'd assume you would start someone else over MJD come game time but your early week confidence in MJD was misplaced. I have no reason to assume you'd put in McCoy in that spot, however.


In conclusion, your lineup didn't beat mine because you didn't actually give a stated lineup. It is possible that you somehow, in your mind, implied one, but a thinking person not in your brain would not be able to discern it from your post.
