Ok, last seeding races for Auction:

MRT is winning by 40 over the dreadnaughts
Berz is losing by a few points to Deviations. Needs a good night from Brees to clinch second overall.

Guy is battling Jag's 'can't lose Auction team' for the last spot.
Rogue and TDS are battling for the last spot.

Everyone is tied at 8-5. Berz wins and he's second. Berz loses and Guy, Rogue and MRT win and they are in.

Deviations and Jag clinched some time ago.

Rabbits look like they are finally going to sneak in with a 3 game win streak to boot vs Guynemer for a playoff spot. Congrats JR. He's 3rd overall. We could have seen a season with the 2nd and 3rd point scorers eliminated.

I'm looking like I'll be 5-9 for the season with a massive 2240 points against. That means teams scored an average of 160 points against me every week. Deviations our number 1 team has 2260 points for the season. Even though I'm going to get 2170 and average 155 points for the year, with a pythag win of 6.8 - 7.2 I go 5 and 9. So -1.8 wins on the season.

Not only was I massively unlucky on points for, I was an additional -2 on top of it all. Pity. Playing every team every week I would have gone 8-6.

Pity for TDS - he had such a strong comeback only to fall short in the last game when he finally regained control of his own destiny.

So who's Touchdown Mills? I had such a big lead and Alshon Jeffrey going but Josh McCown's monster game allowed TD Mills to advance.

McCown scored 68.30 points in D/ST and snoopy's margin of victory was only 11 points.

McCown scored the same for me in Auction, but snoopy still beat me by about 40. Guess it was just snoop's week.

Oh, and just for comparison, that McCown performance was worth 73.5 for one of my FFZ teams. Scoring similar to our IDP.

If Kirk Cousins gets the start over RG3 from here out, what effect does that have on fantasy? Will a less running Cousins over a hobbled RG3 be a boon for Garcon and Jordan Reed?

I love the way Ben posts a diatribe, complete with sketchy math, to demonstrate just how unlucky his 9th-place IDP League team was re Points Against, while conveniently failing to mention how his first-place Auction League team benefited (league-lowest PA by >100) from the same random factor. It's just so Kenobi.

What's so hard to understand? With league average points against and average points against distribution I would have been 9-5 in IDP. I would have been 7-7 even with my first place in points against, but I still managed to finish -2 wins under that.

I was unlucky in the distribution of the points against and unlucky in the total.

Besides, you're just happy you inflicted me my only blowout of the week with 35+ points.

Team was third in points for, so I don't really see how it made a difference whether I made playoffs or no. Did you forget that little detail? My IDP team is the superior team, FWIW.
