    • So you present a specious argument against the SF rushing D (12th/32)
Yahoo stats show them as 15th. Precisely average. You yourself stated:

      plus the Rams face SF.
Since SF is about average on the Run - this isn't relevant.

then totally ignore the fact that Stacy has a concussion.
While you're ignoring the fact that Rice has a significant injury and has been injured all year.

      You really are a jerk.
Does it really matter if I'm a jerk if Albie's numbers are better?

And how well did Rice do vs the Jets? Head to head - Rice did terrible vs Morris. Even though Morris didn't do well against SF - he still did well enough. Stacy's about his calibre.

        • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... can't even admit how ****ed up your comment about Morris being better against SF than Rice was...

Just admit you made a mistake you moron.

Sloww... whatever you do, don't listen to somebody who recommends players that probably won't even start this week.
If they can't even bother to check on a players status before recommending them, they probably don't know **** anyway.

            *sigh*

I just had a Fantasy Football match with Rice in the RB2 slot vs Morris. You had two defenses, the Jets and SF. Morris did much better than Rice.

What's so difficult to understand about this argument? SF has a middling run D.

            • What a tool... trying to talk your way out of yet another (one of many) mistakes you made.
The good news is, smart people know you just keep pulling crap out of your ass and simply make crap up.

And when you get called on it, you just change your story to cover you mistakes...

So why would anybody ever listen to your "ADVICE"... Are you going to tell us know that you have a degree in football so that you know more than anybody else?
Or maybe it's all the practical and relevent experience you have on the subject... more than anybody else?

But that's OK... just keep pushing players that probably won't play... And I thought you liked Sloww?

              • He's actually 'helping' me, Ming.

Zac Stacy would be a start if he wasn't concussed. Even if he were to suit up, there's the high risk he'll get reduced carries (especially considering how well Benny Cunningham played against Chicago) or that they'll pull him at the smallest sign of concussion symptoms. I got screwed in this league a few weeks back when my bye week QB, Terrelle Pryor, was announced as a starter but then had concussion symptoms in the morning before I could make the roster change.

The settings are non-PPR and 1 point per 10 yards rushing/receiving.

Really, Marshall, Gordon, and Graham are duh starters. The debate is between putting Vincent Jackson in over Jordy Nelson (who has a plum Detroit matchup) and if Ray Rice is worth taking a shot on over the emergent Jennings and MJD coming off his best game this year and who, if nothing else, is the Jaguars' only real option when they get to the goal-line. Okay, it's really a debate over Vincent Jackson and Jordy Nelson.

I'm leaning towards Nelson only because I trust Matt Flynn more than Mike Glennon.

I also suspect Jordan Cameron will return to early season form this week but I can't start him over Jackson/Nelson.

Well... that explains the crappy advice

I trust Matt Flynn more than Mike Glennon.
I'll bet you never thought you would be saying something like that

Fantasy Pro (a collection of most of the experts) has Nelson ranked 8th (with settings like yours) vs. Jackson at 12th.

The highest ranking for Nelson was 4th, the lowest was 25th (somebody really didn't like him)
Jackson's highest ranking was also 4th, and his lowest was 28th.

So either way, you have a good player going this week.

Both players are considered #1WR's this week and it's a coin flip.
I would go with Nelson, but NOT because I trust Matt Flynn more

                  • As far as Ray Rice, Jennings and MJD...

                    Fantasy Pro
                    Jennings rank 14 Best 2 Worst 30
                    MJD rank 16 Best 10 Worst 31
                    Rice rank 17 Best 7 Worst 34

Also all very close... but it seems there is more faith in Jennings on the upside.
It all comes down to what you feel/think.

I'd be tempted to go with Jennings, but MJD is looking good now, and Rice always has the potential for a big game.
                    Your call on this one.

                      Lying liar who lies.

The SF is currently 12th in both total and avg yds vs the run.

Do you really think no one can look this up and call you on your BS?

While you're ignoring the fact that Rice has a significant injury and has been injured all year.
As did you. But this is common knowledge, especially among Rice owners.

MJD and Jennings are probably the better choices, but at least we know Ray Rice will start, and that Pittsburgh (23rd against the run) will be missing their starting nose tackle. Rice had his only really good game of the year 10 days ago against a (Bears) team with a depleted D-line, so he should be considered. Which is all I was saying. As Alby notes, Stacy should not even be in the discussion.

Does it really matter if I'm a jerk if Albie's numbers are better?

I said Yahoo ranks SF as the 15th best against the run. Is that yahoo? No.

San Francisco gives up the 15th fewest fantasy points to the RB position.

Umm, I just said, stay away from Rice. I'm starting him because I don't have a better option at RB. Unless you consider Mendenhall or Jacquizz a better RB. Sucks losing Foster.

MJD's been doing well lately. Jennings is going to be in a Faider Timeshare as the starter is due back.

                          • I'm starting Jennings this week. I was really just commenting that his time should fully arrive next season.

Running backs get the first look in our weekly wrap, then we'll double back for the wideouts, tight ends and quarterbacks.

                            • Darren McFadden (hamstring) is out of our hair for another week, so be ready to dial up surging Rashard Jennings against Tennessee. The Titans have been struggling in run defense of late, and Jennings's play speaks for itself.

Same source. I thought this was funny.

Jay Cutler (ankle) isn't ready to go yet, so wild-eyed Josh McCown gets the call at St. Louis.

                              My, aren't we defensive?

You didn't say 15th best (until later); what you said was "average." And you didn't say "yahoo", until after I posted nfl.com as a source suggesting SF as better than average. I didn't contradict your numbers; you hadn't posted any yet. And I don't dispute Yahoo's ranking. I just posted factual evidence of SF's actual performance against the run.

Alby asked for "thoughts." I didn't even tell him to start Rice; just gave him a couple facts and said "it might be a Rice week."
Because until Alby posted the scoring, it would have been silly to suggest who should start.

Of course, the next post is you doing exactly that. You listed who "you" would start, then talked about "your" teams.

I own Rice in both my leagues. Wish I had the RB depth. I'm running Woodhead as RB1 with Rice as RB2. Have lots of middling to good players, since Foster went down.
