Sorry, but I watched Testaverde for oh-so-many years. He was the QB you settled for -- not the one you wanted.

Career QB rating = 78.8. Frankly, if he wasn't a #1 overall who threw a nice deep ball, he would have washed out of the league after his first contract. Threw more INTs than TDs in every one of his first six seasons, and in 11 of his 21 years overall. Some think he was mediocrity personified...

Aikman and Sims won Super Bowls. Cunningham wasn't as prolific a passer because he ran too - and won over 60% of his games.

Who cares about yards per game? All that means is that he threw a lot. That doesn't mean he threw effectively nor that he threw in winning efforts.

You can tell yards per game is not a proxy for talent when you look at who's up there!

All four of those guys threw for more yards per game than Joe Montana (#27) and Steve Young (#44).

I don't know what Boomer Esiason has to do with anything. Both he and Testaverde were losing QBs.

Boomer at least played in a Super Bowl, though. And he almost won. Let's not forget Joe Montana's 4th quarter comeback and the TD pass to John Taylor with 34 seconds to go.

Boomer came just 34 seconds and Joe Montana magic shy of a ring himself.

Boomer was also the 1988 MVP. MVP's count for something, right?
