In various threads, I read of everyone playing twice against all other teams. That's not correct. I'm not sure how it gets scheduled, maybe play all and then start back through the rotation, but in neither league will anyone play all others twice. I mean, do the math.

In a standard 14-week FF season:

8 teams -- play everyone twice
10 teams -- play 5 teams twice
12 teams -- play 3 teams twice
14 teams -- play 1 team twice

The only other balanced schedule is what jag's league is doing this year (and IDP did last year) -- 14 teams, 13-week season.

Frankly, a first and a third is too high a price. You've got to get past physical talent and talk about things like salary structure and the maximum value of the position. Not to mention the games he's not available.

Last I heard, AJ Smith is asking a 2nd and a 3rd and not budging. Supposedly, the Vikes balked at that. And according to Jackson's agent, several other teams have made offers that Smith has rejected.

Frankly, it looks for all the world like your favorite team is doing everything in its power to call Jackson's bluff on sitting out the season. And of course, VJax has been a total tool through this whole thing himself. Dysfunction on all sides.

Is there any reason why I should keep Legedu Naanee in my money league? He has had 6 catches for 71 yards in the past 3 games despite the fact that Rivers has been throwing the ball more than any other QB. It seems now that his role is only going to be expanded if Floyd, Crayton, or Gates get hurt.

Damn you, Ben, for getting me excited about Naanee I can't believe I could have had Austin Collie instead of this bum!

I'm looking at some of these sleeper RB's... I've picked up Ryan Torain (dropped Keiland Williams last week and now he's re-signed to the Skins. Damn you, Shanahan Still Torain looks like he #1) and Michael Bush who could repeat last year and emerge as the top Oakland runner with McFadden hurt.

Anybody have thoughts on this LaGarrette Blount? Cadillac Williams is having his role reduced and Blount seems like he's taking over the job. I know Kareem Huggins was a hot sleeper candidate during the preseason because it was obvious Caddy was on his last tank of gas but Blount seems to have beat out Huggins.

What I read says that Williams will still be getting the bulk or the carries, but reduced to 15-20 carries a game.

I assume you're referencing this:

Spin: This will be the plan according to offensive coordinator Greg Olson. Williams, who is only averaging 2.5 YPC so far this season, will start and still probably see the majority of the carries but may get more in the 15-20 range as opposed to 20-plus.

The thing is, he has more of an injury history than anyone else in the league and look at his production in his 3 games this season:

22 carries for 75 yards against Cleveland
27 carries for 51 yards against Carolina
6 carries for 13 yards against Pittsburgh

He's averaging 2.5 yards per carry. No one can ever retain a starting RB job averaging 2.5 yards per carry. His longest run of the past two games was 8 yards.

AJ is very stubborn. He made an offer that he regarded as fair, 3.5 million a year. VJ wanted Brandon Marshall money. To be fair he's about as good, but Brandon Marshall is massively overpaid. AJ is super easy to work with if you play the game his way. Keep your nose clean. Sign your tenders. Show up to camp ready. Don't hold out.

As for dysfunction, I don't agree with how they treated LT, but I'm 100 percent behind AJ in the VJ situation, and I happen to like VJ.

Moss is in my 'let someone else draft him' bin. Fabulously talented WR, I'd say one of the all-time greats at the position. He's shown without a doubt that he can produce more than anybody else out there, other than perhaps Jerry Rice.

Vincent Jackson is a talented reciever who can produce big numbers. The difference for me between him and Moss, is that Vincent Jackson is a professional on the field. If I could get Moss at a discount, I would, but that will never happen.

That's what he's called. His nickname is Legs. I own him in zero leagues. You want WRs named "Hands", not "Legs".
