Yeah, that pick has killed my team too. Well, and injuries.*

    * I'm including the Kolb debacle as injury related since we didn't see enough of him to know if he was going to suck or not.

              • Couldn't withstand bad games from both Cutler and Forte with Jermichael and Peppers chipping in against me. And it might not be as close as it looks -- I swear Peppers was in on more than 2.0 tackles.

                Congrats, snoop.

                  It was pretty close.

                  • I must admit, I didn't think it was possible for the Bears to win tonight without Cutler/Forte carrying me to victory. It appears the Bears defense is somewhat for real.

And if I could only have one of my preferred outcomes, well, screw fantasy football. Go Bears! :koolaid:

                      • Starts this week? I can start up to 4 WR's... Marshall and Maclin are definite starts but of the rest?

Bradshaw against Chicago (how is the Chicago Run D? Will it gives the Giants any trouble?)
Fitz against San Diego (Fitz has gotten lucky with TD's but he's averaging 4 catches a game so without those TD's, he's nothing)
Louis Murphy against Houston (Murphy has quietly gotten 210 yards and a TD in the past two games and Houston's pass D is porous)
Gaffney against Tennessee (Eli scorched them for nearly 400 yards; Orton could do the same)
                        Naanee against Arizona

I'm leaning towards Bradshaw and Murphy right now but any reason not to bench Fitz?

This is a big week in my money league... I'm playing against our leading scorer and the only other undefeated team besides me and he's in my division. Fortunately for me, this week, he is without Adrian Peterson and next time I play him, Peyton Manning whom he also has is on a bye. I already have a 2 game lead on everyone else in my division besides him so he's my stumbling block but I've had a perfect storm with scheduling. Don't want to waste this opportunity to go 4-0.

Oh and if it's not clear when I say this is a money league... it's a money league... these guys spend so much on Free Agent pickups it's ridiculous... the pot at the end of the season is, no joke, a couple thousand dollars and division winners, regardless of what happens in the playoffs, get $150. Yes, all these guys are twice my age. I got into it through my old boss.

And that's why in case any of you get annoyed with my questions... it's why I'm asking them! You would too if you had a chance for some respectable money at the end of the year. I want to go into each week with as much info as possible!

                        • I'd probably choose Nannee over Fitz. The Chargers pass D has actually been pretty decent this year.

So far the Bears' run D has been outstanding - one of the best in the league. Briggs and Urlacher are in top form tackling behind the line.

Fitz against San Diego (Fitz has gotten lucky with TD's but he's averaging 4 catches a game so without those TD's, he's nothing)

I think you start Fitz, even though it's not a definite yes. None of those guys are definite starts, and Fitz has the talent to catch some balls, even if his QB is not highly skilled at getting them to him. The usual rule in fantasy is start good guys with good matchups, then start decent guys with outstanding matchups, then start good guys with bad matchups; he's in the third category, and I don't really see any of your other guys really in the second category. Your whole WR set there is basically a crapshoot, so take out a die and roll it a few times Nanee is not a safe bet right now for any catches - he'll either be 4/80 + 1TD or 1/6 + 0TD, and SD doesn't need to go to him much this week anyway unless AZ scores a lot (in which case Fitz is useful). Gaffney is on a mediocre team, with a mediocre QB, and is a mediocre talent himself; but he is one of the bigger targets, I suppose. Murphy, who knows - just not well known enough right now to know what he'll do.

I'm leaning towards Bradshaw and Murphy right now but any reason not to bench Fitz?

Peppers has been that way all season so far - always 'in on' lots of tackles, tons of QB pressures, but no stats at the end of the day
