  • In D/ST, did you know that Jaguar is not only the highest scorer but he also has the lowest points against? He's extremely lucky (with regards to points against) but he doesn't even need that luck!

I play Jag this week... it's comical to compare his amazing team with my starting waiver wire rejects like Mike Hart, LaGarrette Blount, and David Gettis.

And if Moss doesn't sign this week, I might have to start a fourth waiver wire reject

    • Okay in my league for money, I'm a little screwed up. I've lost 3 straight to drop to 4-4. My team is:

      Rivers/Flacco
      Bradshaw/Charles/Torain/Blount/Woodhead/Spiller
      Marshall/Fitzgerald/Maclin/Crabtree/Gaffney
      V. Davis

At 4-4, I'm in 7th place in a 10 team league. What do I do? My team looks so good to me... I'm thinking to TRY to trade Bradshaw and either Torain or Blount for an elite guy like a Peterson or an Andre Johnson but I don't think those owners would be willing to shake up their rosters like that... I tried to trade Bradshaw and Gaffney a few weeks ago for Johnson when he was blah (before two straight 100 yard 1 TD games) and the guy laughed at the offer.

Your WRs and QB aren't pulling their weight consistently and you had a few players on bye this past week.

Really, you need to move fitz and gaffney, cut spiller

        • In this format, Rivers is the #1 QB and my WR's are #8 (Maclin), and tied at #22 (Marshall and Fitz). That's not it.

Fitz actually had a good game this week. Things might be turning around. I can't get anything for him, anyway. No one worthy of starting. Why cut Spiller? If there was an obvious waiver wire pickup, maybe, but I'm not seeing anyone this week, especially not a potential starter better than what I got. And I've been pretty good with the waiver wire picking up guys like Torain, Blount, Woodhead, and Gaffney off the wire.

I wish I still had Ryan Grant

Rivers had 2 weeks in the past 3 that were his worst of the season. Yeah, your WRs are definitely not pulling their weight then if they're only #8 and #22. Also, dont ask a question if you're gonna argue with the correct answer.

Hart and Blount should actually be a pretty good duo of RBs. Better to face them than to face Gore, though.

You should actually expect the high-scoring teams to have lower points against. (They don't play themselves.) But even in addition to that, I've had an easy-ish schedule to start the season. The teams (by points scored) that I haven't played: 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 12. There's also good luck coming in the future. I play you without your 49ers, and then I play MRT without Aaron Rodgers, Marques Colston, or Antonio Gates. (Just this week I got to play Ozzy without Dallas Clark.)

I don't see how this team is losing, even in a 10-team league. What place are you in scoring?

                • also,in DST I have #1 TE (Who is outscoring every WR in the league), #3, 10 (Just cut britt though), 16, 18 WRs, #19 and #25 RBS. The only reason I'm in the position I'm in is the consistent phenomenal play by Gates, consistent WR play all around and not awful RB play.

4th in scoring. Second highest points against

That makes sense but dude, seriously, your WRs aren't that good.

                      • I just don't see me getting anything for Fitzgerald or Marshall. I've tried. No one wants them. At least not for anyone that I would start over them.

Their value has been so deflated it's absurd. I still got to believe that talent wins out and they've had some promising games (like Fitz's this week) that might mean things will turn around.

Man, forget Fitz. You seriously got to believe that at some point that performance matters more than potential.

                          • Just hold the line. Fitz isn't doing that terribly, even with unsustainably bad QB play. He'll pick up a bit. Your team has also just been unlucky. Given that you're 7th(!) at 4-4 with high numbers of points scored, I'd bet the league has a lot of parity. You've got a good chance of making the playoffs with what you have. Don't make trades unless you feel pretty good that it's a fleecing.

                            • Going at it the other way: If you can get a real stud you can believe in - a Wayne, an Andre, a Megatron - you might try packaging Fitz and Marshall together as bait.

That said, I think your WRs will begin to pull their weight down the stretch. Just start Rivers every week and you should be fine.
