Barely. They needed a lot of penalties just to beat the Panthers. Brady is being held together with duct tape and baling wire, and from the way he's playing Moss isn't much better (doesn't appear on the injury report, but supposedly his back problem from earlier in the year was never really fixed). A new injury to the best player on a defense that couldn't stop anybody anyway, and several other people got dinged up as well. De facto offensive coordinator can't call a game to save his life, and they can't even kick the trouble-makers out of the locker room because they don't have the cap space.

On the other hand, they're still leading the division in a rebuilding year...for now. And somehow, Laurence Maroney learned how to run. A couple years too late, but, better than nothing I guess.

        • Chad Henne completed 17 passes in a row against the Jags!

Tied a Dolphin record by Chad Pennington, who did it over two games.

          • 11 and 2.

We'll still get stuffed in the playoffs, just like every year.

Brady just needs to last two more games as he's my fantasy QB - two more games Brady, I want my £100! As for Moss, he's not injured, he's just sulking and couldn't give a ****.

They just realised the futility of their season after being swept by the Bengals!

                      • Whether it's New Orleans or Minnesota that goes, I think they take the SB.

                        • Bengals receiver Chris Henry in serious condition

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry was involved in a serious accident on Wednesday in Charlotte, the team reported on its Web site.

                          Updated: December 16, 2009, 7:07 PM ET

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry suffered serious injuries after falling out of the back of a pickup truck during a domestic dispute with his fiance, police said Wednesday.

Henry was found in the road in Charlotte "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries," according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Henry was transported to Carolinas Medical Center, the local trauma unit, but spokesman Scott White said he was not listed in hospital records and had no other information.

Police say Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as his unidentified fiance was driving away from a home just before noon.

"The domestic situation continued between the operator and Mr. Henry," the police said in a statement. "At some point while she was driving, Mr. Henry came out of the back of the vehicle."

Henry broke his left forearm during a win over Baltimore on Nov. 8, had surgery and was placed on season-ending injured reserve. Charlotte is home to his fiance's parents, the Bengals said.

Team spokesman Jack Brennan said he had little information other than Henry was badly hurt.

"We are aware he was in an accident and that his injuries are very serious," Brennan said. "We are obviously staying in touch with the situation and are ready to offer whatever assistance we can."

Henry is in the final year of his contract with the Bengals, who let him go after his fifth arrest following the 2007 season. Owner Mike Brown then brought him back a few months later, signing him to a two-year deal, and Henry had stayed out of trouble since his return.

A deep threat, he was fourth among Bengals receivers this season with 12 catches for 236 yards and two touchdowns at the time of his injury.

Neither has ever won it, so that would be fine by me. I would prefer to see New Orleans make it because (1) they've never been there, (2) Brees deserves confirmation of his awesomeness, and (3) the city has absorbed over four decades of abuse without so much as a conference championship. Not to mention Katrina and all that.

Basically, New Orleans deserves a break. Go Saints!!

Yea, my Superbowl party was fairly united in rooting for the Cards last year.

At least this year they are out and the Bolts are likely in. Stupid Steelers and Cheatroits.
