Sports radio in Chicago was just TRASHING the Bears orginization this morning. While Cutler was taking some abuse for poor decision making (dat true) the bulk of the trashing was aimed at the coaching staff and GM.
A few even suggested that we needed to totally clean house so that a new group could come in and build around the one thing we do have... Jay Cutler.

I was in town the week after the Cincinnati debacle and the 670 crew singled out Angelo as the main culprit, for constantly trading down and mainly acquiring mediocre talent over the years. I have to think that there's something to that argument (outside the Cutler trade) as it seems our truly talented players are getting old.

Angelo has not made a good top pick since he got here. He's picked up some gems in the later rounds, but every early round pick turns into a bust. And yes, the real talented players are getting old. The offensive line is almost all new now as the great defensive line of the past that was together for years is gone.

While I appreciate the fact that he got the team to a Super Bowl (only to have Grossman and company give the game to Indy) it would have been better if they had never gotten there. Maybe then, all these bozo's would be gone. But unfortunately, people point to that single success as proof that management and the coaching staff knows what they are doing, which is obviously not the case

The Chargers have only done that once, under Boss Ross in '94 with Means.

Despite having some fabulous teams recently and also under Air Coryell, none of them managed to win an AFC championship. Would you really trade an unexpected Superbowl berth? I wouldn't.
