Kansas and Missouri fattened up on the dregs of the Big 12 and nonconference scheduling; as soon as they matched up with the powers of the Big 12 South, they were put in their proper position as second-tier teams.
And you said "Nebraska and Missouri would be the 3rd and 4th best teams in the Big Ten." Beyond how debatable that is, that means the top two teams in the North compare favorably to 82% of the Big 10. The rest of the Big 12 North? Kansas State? Colorado? Come on.
Look, I'm not saying the Big 10 is good. It, too, is rightfully maligned. But come on, Drake, stop trolling. Since Nebraska's #3 finish in 1999, the only Big 12 North team to finish in the AP top five was Missouri a couple years ago. In fact, since 2002, '07 was the only year the Big 12 North put any teams at all in the Top Ten. That's a far, far worse record than the Big 10, where OSU, Michigan, PSU, and Iowa have all had multiple finishes in the Top Ten, as well as an appearance by Wisconsin.
Frankly, I have no idea why we are arguing. The Big 12 North is rightfully maligned. It has been mediocre, at best, for several years. It is, in fact, worse than the Big 10, which is really saying something, as the Big 10 has been at its absolute worst over the past several years.
