    Mags is part of the reason that my kickass Fantasy Baseball team went into the crapper this year...

            No game tonight, had a day game today and lost to Minn.

            On to the White Sox tomorrow.

                      Sorry, OPS+, Adjusted Batting Runs, Adjusted Batting Wins, and Offensive Win Percentage indicates more production that stats such as RBI, which is based on how other players do.

                      And neither Adjusted Batting Runs, Adjusted Batting Wings, or Offensive Win Percentage are an average. They are the same as a rate stat, as a statistic that is not averaged out.

                      In addition, Mauer is above Texiera in Wins Above Replacement, though Texiera is better than Mauer in Win Probability Added.

                        Gee, it makes you wonder what criteria they used in the past, before all these specialized stats. And do most of the current voters care about these specialized stats?

                            Mauer will win. The Twins late push, even if it falls short, has helped his narrative. It's Mauer and a bunch of guys, and they're winning. Catcher, leading the league in av/obp/slg. CATCHER.

                            Tex doesn't deserve even a top-5 finish, especially if you think pitchers should be considered (I'd rather remove them from the pool of candidates, but that's not what the rules say). Tex is 2nd or 3rd on his own TEAM (Jeter is the best NYY candidate... CC is either #2 or #3).
